Olivas -- Gregorita Rendon (Goya) Olivas, 85, long time Santa Fe Resident, died Saturday, February 16, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ubaldo J. Olivas, her son, Michael, and grandson, Paul. Mrs. Olivas was born March 3, 1916 in Embudo, NM. She married and lived in Santa Fe where she raised her children and spent her life as a homemaker. Gregorita was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was very devoted to her catholic faith, and was a member of La Union Protectiva Feminina for many years. She is survived by her children, Lupita (Pita) Sandoval, Martin Olivas and wife, Elizabeth, Carmela Estrada and husband, Ron, and Virginia Padilla and husband, Leonard. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Her family has requested memorial contributions be offered in her name to Lovelace Hospice, Siesta Hills, 5403 Gibson Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Estrada, Peter Estrada and Orlando Padilla. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 22, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, 984-8600.
