Luna -- Perla M. Luna, age 64, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was welcomed into the arms of the Lord, our Savior, Tuesday, February 19, 2002, while surrounded by her loving family. She was a life long resident of Albuquerque; and a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederico and Estella Lopez; and a son-in-law, Gene Armijo. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Henry Luna; her children, Lillian Armijo, Rose Archibeque and husband, Alfred, Patricia Abeyta and husband, Chris; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Also surviving are four sisters, Corine Martinez and husband, Joe, Ramona McAfee and husband, James, Wanda Lopez, Imelda Ortiz and husband, Richard; three brothers, Fred Lopez Jr., Sammy Lopez, and Leroy Lopez; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Perla will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Final viewing will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael Armijo, Carlos Armijo, Christopher Abeyta, Anthony Armijo, Alfred Archibeque, and Chris Abeyta. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th Street NW, 898-3160.
