Fincke -- Norman Edwin Fincke, 78, died Sunday, February 17, 2002. He is survived by his children, Wayne D. Fincke, Kenneth H. Fincke and Carolynn A. Fincke. Norman was born December 21, 1923 to Herbert Ernest Fincke and Cora May Carson Fincke in La Junta, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert C. Fincke in 1942 and John A. Fincke in 1979; his father, Herbert E. Fincke in 1963; and mother, Cora M. Carson Fincke in 1972. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1938. Norman graduated from Albuquerque High School in May 1942 and enlisted in the Air Force October 1942. After his military service he started work in the grocery business with other family members and then went to work as a wholesale food broker for Libby and Gouley Burcham and retired in 1988. Norm and his family were charter members of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and his dogs. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Harold Nilsson officiating. Interment of cremains will follow the service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of NM, 216 Truman NE, 87108 or the Animal Humane Association of NM, 615 Virginia SE 87108.
