Asselmeier -- Allen E. Asselmeier, 72, died February 17, 2002 after a brief illness. Born in Missouri, and an Albuquerque resident since 1960, he retired from Sandia National Labs after 31 years. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Annabelle in 1998, and is survived by his sisters, Mary Schneider of Illinois, Doris England of Michigan and brother, Francis Asselmeier of Illinois; daughters, Candy Shannon of TX, Gayle Asselmeier and Kathy Dailey of NM; grandchildren, Paula Esquibel, Cynthia Emery, Michael Esquibel, Jaclyn Shannon of TX, and Ross and Brenna Bishop of NM; great-grandchildren, Christopher Emery and Zachary Esquibel of TX. The family would like to say thank you to the 800/ICU units at Presbyterian Kaseman, Presbyterian ICU downtown, and Carestone at Quintessence. Cremation has taken place and private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The American Heart Association or The Alzheimers Association.
