Chavez -- Mrs. Oralia "LaLa" T. Chavez, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on March 12, 2002. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her sons, Gilbert Aragon and wife, Frances, Martin Aragon Jr., Frank Aragon, Richard Aragon and wife, Ramona and Alex Aragon. Mrs. Chavez is also survived by 28 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Chavez; several nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Ben E. Herrera; and her daughter, Stella Robledo. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday evening at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos N.W. at 7:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 p.m. A final viewing will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Joe Vigil. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Carlos Aragon, David Gallegos, Lawrence Trujeque, Cookie Taylor, George Gilliam Jr., and Paul Aragon. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
