Gallegos -- Pedro Pablo "Pete" Gallegos, 64, has gone to his eternal home in Heaven. He was resident of Las Vegas, NM and passed away on Friday with his loving family by his side following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juanita and Fulgencio Madrid and his paternal grandparents, Eutimio and Placidita Gallegos all of Villanueva, NM. Pete was born on June 29, 1937 in Villanueva, NM to Pedro and Josephine Madrid Gallegos. On July 29, 1979 he was united in marriage to Jo Ann Martinez. He was a well known contractor in and around Las Vegas and ran the P & P Construction Company in Santa Fe for 20 years and was also the co-owner of OG's Tortilla Factory. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Navy and was also a charter member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #3815. Besides his parents, Pedro and Josephine Gallegos of Villanueva and his wife, Jo Ann of Las Vegas, NM, he is survived by his children, Marjorie Torres and her husband, Ramon of Espanola, NM; Peter Gallegos and his wife, Emma and their children, Jennifer and Tamara all of Taos, NM; Paula Gallegos-Purdue and her husband, Billy Sr. and their children, Billy Jr. and Francesca all of Santa Fe; Roger Martinez and his wife, Michelle and their children, Tasha and Michael all of Sapello, NM; Donna Martinez and her husband, Toby and their children, Toby III and Amanda all of Sapello, NM; and Sandra Coca and her husband, Steve and their children, Savannah, Steven, and Joshua all of Las Vegas; NM; two sisters, Catherine Aguilar and her husband, Pete of Santa Fe, NM and Leora Villanueva and her husband, Leroy of Villanueva, NM; four brothers, Johnny Gallegos and his wife, Caroline of Villanueva, NM, Eutimio Gallegos and his wife, Lorella of Albuquerque, Roy Gallegos and his wife, Rosabelle of Villanueva, NM, and Andrew Gallegos and his wife, Delphina of Taos, NM; his mother-in-law, Josephine Varela of Las Vegas, NM; a sister-in-law, Karla Jaramillo and her husband, Ralph of Santa Fe, NM; a brother-in-law, Gilbert Varela and his wife, Doris of Las Vegas, NM; aunts Lola Flores and her husband, Tobias of Villanueva, NM and Nora Stearns of Las Vegas, NM; uncles, Reginio and Frank Gallegos and his wife, Aurelia of Villanueva and by several godchildren, nieces, and nephews that loved him dearly. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. in Las Vegas. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The interment will follow in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. Flowers have not been omitted but memorials may be made to Jornada del Alma (Soul Passage), a hospice support group, P. O.
