Gonzales -- David M. Gonzales, 80, passed on Saturday, March 30, 2002 at his home in Luis Lopez, NM. He was born June 10, 1921 to Frank and Maria Marcus Gonzales in Luis Lopez, NM. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII and was retired from Civil Service. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jose Leon Gonzales, and two sisters, Rufina Gonzales and Tamasita Mendoza. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Lopez Gonzales of their home in Luis Lopez; sons, Macario and wife, Angie of Luis Lopez, Richard and wife, Barbara of Luis Lopez, Raymond and wife, Debbie of Bowie, MD, Frankie and wife, Darlene of Albuquerque, NM, Larry and wife, Angelia of Luis Lopez and Johnny Joe and wife, Karen of Los Lunas, NM; daughters, Lita Mendoza and husband, Victor of Peralta, NM, Gloria Silva and husband, Manuel of Albuquerque and Sandra Gonzales and husband, Ernest of Luis Lopez; a sister, Rosa Padilla of Luis Lopez; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Rosary was held on Monday, April 1, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Luis Lopez. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Church with Father Edward Domme as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Luis Lopez Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roddy Mendoza, David Silva, Mackie Gonzales, Richard Romero, Mathew Gonzales and Andrew Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are: Paul Mendoza, David Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzales, Joseph Montoya, Richie Gonzales, Billy Saavedra and Phillip Gonzalez.
