Anderson -- Shirley Isadora Anderson, 94, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2002. Shirley first came to New Mexico in 1974 and then again in 1997. Shirley moved from New York City, where she lived most of her life. She was born April 8, 1907 the daughter of Sherman and Corine Palmer Jenkins in Charleston, South Carolina. During WW II she worked at the Picatiney Arsenal in New Jersey. She worked for a jewelry manufacturer before retiring. Shirley was a Charter member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Rio Rancho. Shirley is survived by one daughter, Juanita De Leon and husband, Frederick of Rio Rancho; two grandchildren, Frederick De Leon, Jr., and Marc De Leon, and six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Shirley will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2701 The American Road, SE, Rio Rancho, with The Rev. Jeannine E.
