Gabaldon -- Phillip E. Gabaldon, 53, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Los Chavez passed away on April 18, 2002. He was a member of the Holy Family Church in Albuquerque. Phillip retired from GTE Lenkurt as a Maintenance Technician after twenty-two years of dedicated service. After his retirement, he went to the Motor Cycle Mechanic Institute in Phoenix, AZ. and graduated in 1994. After his graduation, he went to work at Nail Fast in Albuquerque as a pneumatic tools mechanic. Phillip was a top-notch Harley Davidson mechanic and Harley owners always sought him out to work on their bikes or just to shoot the breeze about motorcycles. He was a long time member of the Harley Owners Group. Next to his love for his family, he loved when his wife, Angie would go with him on long runs on their"Hog." All his family individually accompanied him out on the road on many occasions. Phillips sense of humor and caring ways will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank D. and Mary S. Gabaldon; his brother and sister, Salomon and Rosie Gabaldon. Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Angie; his children, Phillip Gabaldon Jr. and his wife, Sue of Belen; Valerie Gabaldon and her fiancé, Andrew Ulibarri; Victoria Gabaldon and Adrian Platero, both of the family home in Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Amanda, Alexis, and Mateo; his twin brother, Philbert and his wife, Lydia, of Los Lunas; and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Beckie Gabaldon of Anaheim, CA. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 19, 2002 at 5:30 p.m. in the Romero Funeral Home Chapel followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Los Chavez on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 9:30 a.m., with Father Tom officiating.
