Innis -- James Allen Innis, loved by all, passed away gracefully after a long illness on Monday, April 15, 2002. Jim was a caring and compassionate person who made great contributions to our lives. He was born on February 15, 1930 and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering. He moved to Albuquerque in 1958 where he practiced engineering for over 40 years. Jim designed the structure for the south wing of the University Hospital, the Psychology and Student Services buildings on campus, the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, several structures for the Albuquerque Zoological Park and the Natural History Museum, and many, many more. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Innis; his wife, Barbara Innis; two sons, Mark and Jim Innis; their wives, Lisa and Lynda Innis; his grandchildren, Michael, age 18, Jenny, age 16, Ethan age 12, Samantha, age 11, and Amanda, age 9; as well as his brother, Joe Innis; his sister, Jean Barber; their spouses and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Jim's brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harry and Betty Paynter and the Presbyterian Hospice staff for their love and support when we needed it the most. Jim, we will all miss you. You colored our world and we will carry you in our hearts forever.A Remembrance Ceremony will be held for family and friends on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at the Del Norte Baptist Conference Center.
