Gonzales -- Richard J. Gonzales, 47, a resident of Los Lunas, peacefully joined our Lord surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 2, 2002. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Richard loved to fish and the outdoors. He retired from the City of Albuquerque. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph; and his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Ernestine Jimenez. Richard is survived by his loving wife of six years, Paula; his three beautiful children, LaVelle, Tanya, and Erica Gonzales; his mother, Connie Gonzales and her companion, Robert McBreen; his six siblings, Steve and his wife, Stephanie, Jerry and his wife, Mona Lisa, Polly Montano and her husband, Ted, Maureen Funaro and her husband, Gene, Gloria Chamberlain, and Ryan Leonski. Cremation has taken place with the utmost love for Richard's wishes. All Services will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta with a Rosary on Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Valencia Cemetery.
