Chavez -- Steve J. Chavez passed away June 2, 2002 in Albuquerque. He was a loving son, brother, father, cousin and friend. Steve was a good person and was always willing to help anybody do anything they needed. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Chavez; and grandparents, Francisco and Agida Chavez. Steve is survived by his mother, Ernestine Tina Chavez; children, Stephanie and Christopher; four brothers, Berto, David, Leonard, and Michael Chavez; four sisters, Rita, Sylvia, Carla, and Elizabeth Chavez; his very loving and caring aunt, Elsie Madrid; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other family and friends who will miss him. A viewing and reception will be held at the home of Elsie Madrid, 200 Trumbull SE.
