Casias -- Lawrence R. Casias, 36, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 16, 2002. Lawrence is the beloved son to Mrs. Rebecca (Timia) Gurule. He is also survived by one sister, Belinda Guevara and husband, Robert; two brothers, Gabriel Gurule and wife, Elena, Lewis Casias and wife, Tanya; his great-aunt, Mela Garcia; niece, Victoria Gurule; three nephews, Brian Gurule, Marcus Guevara and Lorenzo Guevara; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Richard Casias; and grandmother, Fidela Perea. Lawrence was a member of the Catholic Church. A Visitation will be Tuesday evening after 6:30 p.m. at the San Jose de Los Duranes Catholic Mission, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose de Los Duranes Catholic Mission by Monsignor Leo Lucero, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Salo Sanchez, Angelo Sanchez, Martin Perea, Brian Gurule, Robert Guevara and Henry Arellano. Honorary pallbearers will be, Paul Sanchez, Marcus Guevara, Lorenzo Guevara and Mark Ortega. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements.
