Rodriguez -- Manuel L. (Manny) Rodriguez, Sr. passed away on June 25, 2002. He moved to Albuquerque from Artesia in 1975 to be near his family. Locally he was a part-time house painter in his latter years. Born in El Paso, TX on January 2, 1914, he was raised in Carlsbad, NM. He married Natividad Baca on August 5, 1933. As an adult living in Artesia, NM, Manuel served as a policeman and owned several businesses. Manuel is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years; a sister; a son; and three daughters; and by a large family that extends to the fifth generation. Visitation will be held on July 1, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. also in the chapel with Pastor Bob Alarid as Officiant. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln. in Rio Rancho.
