Lee -- R. G. Lee, Jr. passed away in Albuquerque on July 2, 2002. He was the beloved husband of the late Thelma Hoit Lee for 43 years and the late Mia (Florence) Elkins Lee for four years. R.G. was predeceased by his mother, Elma Lee. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, son, Chuck Lee, his wife, Sandra Lee and their daughter, Charlotte of Magnolia, TX, and daughter, Helen Lee-Bryant, her husband, Michael Bryant and their son, Matthew of Santa Rosa, CA. He is also survived by his wonderful friends, Herman Hood and Dorothy Concha of Albuquerque. R. G. was born in Wichita Falls, TX in 1925 and moved to Albuquerque while in high school. He graduated from Albuquerque High and was a graduate of the UNM School of Engineering. A true patriot, he enlisted at 18 and served in the US Army Air Force during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theater with the 44th Bombardment Group. He was the manager of Pacific Desk Company with his father-in-law, Charles Hoit for over 30 years, but his first love was his structural engineering work. R.G. was a licensed P.E. for nearly 50 years. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Sunrise Society of New Mexico. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the local Humane Society or Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Place NE, Albuq., NM 87110 would be appreciated.
