Garrison -- Violet Faye Garrison born on May 28, 1911, in Connell, Washington, died on Saturday, July 27, 2002 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Violet lived in Moscow, Idaho for 60 years, graduating from Moscow High School in 1929, where she enjoyed participating in sports during her childhood and high school years. While in Moscow, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary; and she worked as a doctor's receptionist, while raising two daughters. Upon retirement in 1975, she moved to Soquel, California to be near her daughter, Margaret. She served as a deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing golf and bridge. Violet moved to Albuquerque in 1995 to be near her daughter, Patsy and her family. She was a resident of the retirement community La Vida Llena for six years. She was an active resident and enjoyed the friendship of many people. Violet will be dearly missed by dear friends in Moscow, Soquel, Santa Cruz and Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy and husband, Richard Adams; granddaughter, Stefanie and husband, Robert Greiner, all of Albuquerque; and daughter, Margaret Garrison of Paris, France. Her life will be honored at a memorial service at La Vida Llena, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, on Tuesday, July 30th, at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will be arranged by French Mortuary and remains will be interred in the family plot in Moscow, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sandia Hospice, 4725 Indian School Rd. NE, #100, 87110 or a charity of your choice. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
