Luhn -- Evan Ryan Luhn, 53, a longtime resident of Albuquerque and most recently of Bosque Farms, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 29, 2002. Born in Rhode Island and moving with his family to New Mexico as a youth, he graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1966. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and subsequently the Coast Guard Reserve. After earning an LVN degree, he returned to New Mexico in the mid 1980s. He was employed by the UNM Mental Health Center and was active in the local arts community. Ryan is survived by two brothers, Roderick of Norfolk, VA and Edward of Bosque Farms, NM; a paternal aunt, Dr. Nellie Currarino of Dallas, TX; a maternal aunt, Mrs. Barbara Messinger of Wakefield, RI; a niece and nephew, Paige and Gregory Luhn of Shrewsbury, NJ; and a nephew and niece, Justin and Brittany Luhn of Norfolk, VA. Ryan will be remembered fondly by all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to New Mexico AIDS Services. Arrangements have been made to inter his ashes at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where he will eternally join his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Graham H. Luhn.
