Payne -- Daniel J. Payne, age 96 and a resident of Albuquerque for the past 15 years, died on September 30, 2002. He was born in Hamlin, TX to Daniel J. and Alice Williamson Payne and spent most of his life in Roswell, NM where he was office manager for the Pecos Valley Cotton Oil Company. He also served on the Eastern New Mexico Fair Board Commission. His hobbies included fishing, golfing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Rubinelle; a daughter, Dianna Ottmann and husband, Jim of Albuquerque; a niece, Glynne H. Galles of Albuquerque and her children, Teri Bryan, Tracee Dezzutti and Tim Galles; and his brother, Charles Polk and wife, Kay of Loving, NM. Also surviving are grandsons, Danny Ottmann and wife, Tracie of Albuquerque and Tim Ottmann and wife, Angela of Denver, CO and four great-grandchildren, Ashley Ottmann and Casey, Jake and Karli Ottmann. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2002 at Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE with Pastor Rick Donaho of New Covenant Church officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to the American Heart Association, PO Box 90790, Albuquerque, NM 87199-0790.
