Moore -- Lora Moore our Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away Monday, the 23 of September, 2002. Lora was born June 11, 1933. Conceived in Silver City, New Mexico, she was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin (Grandma didn't trust New Mexico hospitals) and raised in Silver City. Lora's family was her life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, loving and cherishing her children and grandchildren and helping others. In the 1990's she owned and operated"Home Away From Home Inc." A residential care facility that she was very proud of. In the last two years of her life, she enjoyed working with and holding office in the Four Hills Lions Club. She was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew her. Lora worked hard, lived life fully and loved deeply. We can't express in words how much she loved her family and her grandchildren and how much they loved her back. Her earthly time left behind, Lora is at peace after her brave battle with cancer. Her courage during this time, was an inspiration to everyone. It was Lora's firm belief that all her loved ones who had gone before her, would be waiting to welcome her to Heaven. We know how much she's enjoying her family reunion. Lora is survived by her husband, Clayton Moore; her daughter, Paula Laney Gauntt; her son's, Lee D. Laney and Kenneth Laney, Lee's life partner, David Crawford; her brothers, Donald Lindow, Larry Landrum and Dennis Landrum; her sister, Lois Fuller; her step-daughters, Laura Moore, Louise Longenette and Linda Peterson and her most cherished, beloved grandchildren, William Hill Buck, Lora Kimberly Gauntt, Samantha Jo Gauntt and Nathan Clayton Kirby. Her son, James Robert Buck and her parents, Jewel Andraska and Edward Frank Lindow predeceased her. In keeping with Lora's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Lora may send contributions to one of her favorite charities, among them the ALUSCC 2818 Pennsylvania NE, 87110 and The Ranches of New Mexico. Mom touched many lives and will be remembered always.
