Rogers -- Daniel H. Rogers, 78, of San Jose, California passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2002. He was born on February 13, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan. Dan moved with his family to Bay City, MI in the 1930's where he graduated from Bay City Central. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the War, Dan returned to Bay City, MI where he married the late Barbara Benson, who was from Flint, MI. Dan later moved to Midland, MI where he owned and operated Auto Parts and Spring Co. The business was sold in the early 1970's and Dan relocated to California. Dan was a lifelong member of the Elks Club and a founding member of Temple Beth El in Midland. His parents, Joseph Rogers and Bertha Kaizman Rogers and his brother, Albert Rogers, precede Dan in death. Dan is survived by his son, Elliot Rogers of Chevy Chase, Maryland; his son, Steven Rogers and daughter-in-law, Marjorie Rogers of Albuquerque and his daughter, Carole Yuster and son-in-law, Keith Yuster of Highland Park, Illinois. Three grandchildren, Alissa Rogers and Stephanie Rogers of Grand Rapids and Adam Yuster of Highland Park, Illinois Park; and his brother Sam Rogers and sister-in-law, Florence (Babe) Rogers of Bay City also survive Dan. Funeral Services were held at Trahan Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 in Bay City with Burial at the Bay City Jewish Association Cemetery.
