Johnson -- Arthur (Art) G. Johnson, age 83, passed away November 21, 2002 in Albuquerque. Art moved to Albuquerque from Prescott, AZ in 1999 to live with his only surviving son and his family. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Marcia Johnson; and two granddaughters, Tamara Johnson and Kim Guerra; and grandson, Sean Johnson (Garcia); four sisters; and one brother. Art was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; two sons, David and Daniel; a brother; and a sister. He was born in Malacs Lake, MN, December 6, 1918 and received a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture from the University of Minnesota. He worked in the construction field for many years, became a general contractor, and established his own construction company. In addition to his church activities, his interests and an important part of his son's lives included coaching a little league baseball team in the 1950s and 1960s. Art was an active member of the Gideons and the First Conservative Baptist Church in Prescott, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideon's International. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 25, 2002, 3:00 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott.
