Wolff -- Maurice Wolff was born in Brooklyn, NY, November 7, 1921, graduated from Brooklyn Tech, served in World War II in the U.S. Army in England, France, Belgium and Germany and worked as an architect in New York City in part of the design of the World Trade Center and other major city buildings. A member of the American Institute of Architects, he studied painting at the Art Students League in NYC and sculpture after moving to Albuquerque, NM, in 1993. He was active in the Duke City Bridge Club for the past nine years. He died on Monday, December 2, in the Hospice unit of Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Bretta Weiss Wolff; daughters, Anita Orenzow and Joanne Wolff; grandsons, Jeffrey and Michael Orenzow, stepdaughters, Lee Weiss Maniolas, Sara Weiss, Emily Smith; and stepgranddaughter, Nikki Maniolas. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, at the First Unitarian Church, Carlisle and Comanche Avenues, in Albuquerque at 4:45 p.m.
