Fleming -- Violet M. Fleming, a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2002, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Her husband, John S. Fleming, preceded Violet in death. She was born March 12, 1914 in Pennsylvania. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Kosel and husband, Edward, of Albuquerque; sons, John"Jack" and wife, Josephine of Santa Fe, Richard and wife, Patty of Albuquerque; sister, Lois Hawk of Blakeslee, PA. Mrs. Fleming was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and the Sonata Club. In addition to being an excellent cook, Mrs. Fleming was known for taking special care of her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Fleming's family appreciates all the care that Manor Care Sandia Hospice provided for her. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2002, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, with funeral service on Thursday, December 5, 2002, at 9:00 am in the Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE.
