Starks -- Ruth Jurgensen Starks, 80, died Friday, November 22, 2002 at Manor Care in Encinitas, CA. Ruth was born December 14, 1921 in Manhattan, KS and grew up in Albuquerque. After marrying, she lived in Oceanside and Carlsbad, CA for 52 years. She retired from Federal Civil Service at M.C.B. Camp Pendleton, CA. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Republican National Committee and the U.N.M. Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald J. Jurgensen of Belen, NM in 1972 and Clifford R. Jurgensen of Albuquerque in 1994. She is survived by three daughters, Susan Whitten of College Station, TX, Patricia Steger of Escondido, CA and Elizabeth Meyer of Carlsbad, CA; three grandchildren, Delia, Tiffany and Kenton; one great-granddaughter, Dionne; and one sister, Doris Dunlap of Albuquerque. Private inurnment will take place Saturday, December 7, 2002 at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd. NE in Albuquerque.
