Elias -- William (Bill) Elias, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, died Friday, December 6, 2002. Mr. Elias was born October 23, 1924 in Las Vegas, NM. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Elias of Albuquerque; stepmother, Kate Elias of Albuquerque; half-brother, Tony Elias of Roswell, NM; half-sister, Diana Schuch and husband Chuck of Albuquerque. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Mary Elias. Mr. Elias was a city councilman in Las Vegas, NM in the 1960's and was active with the police department and was a volunteer fireman. Bill was also a lifelong member of the Elks lodge in Las Vegas, NM. Bill served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 11, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE 87110 with Fr. Francis X. Eggert, Celebrant. Interment will take place Wednesday, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE 87110 or The Cystinosis Research Network, 8 Sylvester Rd.
