Minetos -- Minetos, Priscilla A., age 77. ¯The Best Mommy Ever, she will be dearly missed.¯ She was received by the Lord Wednesday evening, December 18, 2002, as she peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her family and all of her grandchildren. Mrs. Minetos dedicated her life to the happiness of her children and grandchildren. She was born in Kansas City, KS and raised in Denver, CO. She resided in Albuquerque most of her life. Mrs. Minetos is survived by her son, Nick Minetos and wife, Elizabeth; three granddaughters, Sophia, Christina, and Aleksia, all of Albuquerque; grandson, Jim Falbe of Waco, TX; and sister, Anna Rose Main of Medford, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Minetos; and daughters, Elaine Minetos-Falbe and Dina Minetos. Over the years, Mrs. Minetos and her husband owned and operated many restaurants throughout New Mexico, in various locations such as Santa Fe, Gallup, Carlsbad, and Albuquerque. She continued to work as a cook at Sandia Casino until about one month before her passing. She was an Olympic Caliber swimmer in her youth with numerous awards and trophies. Mrs. Minetos was a former"Miss Colorado" beauty pageant winner. She still enjoyed watching pageants on television, as well as"The Bold and the Beautiful" soap opera, and"Larry King Live." Although not ¯born Greek, she loved the Greek culture, cuisine, language, music, etc. She loved to shop, and buy toys and clothes, for her grandchildren, to excess. She will be terribly missed. Trisagion services will be held Sunday, December 22, 2002, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 23, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE. Pallbearers will be John Hristopoulos, Jim Falbe, John Pavlides, Steve Vatoseow, Dino Argyres and Mike Sumner. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Lovelace Hospice for all their care, guidance, and support during this time. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
