Gabel -- Harry Gabel, passed away on December 19, 2002. Harry was born in Berlin, Germany on November 28, 1922. Harry was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM coming from Milwaukee, WI in 1974. Prior to retirement he was a toolmaker and devoted over 40 years to his craft. He was a youth soccer coach for over 30 years in both Rio Rancho, NM and Milwaukee, WI. Harry enjoyed painting, stamp collecting and reading. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Harry is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Anneliese Gabel; son, Norbert Gabel and wife, Natalie; daughter-in-law, Marlane Gabel-Barton and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Danny Gabel and wife, Kelly, Stephanie Gabel, Brian Gabel; and a host of very special friends. A Memorial Service for Harry will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options in Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army, 1520 Deborah Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
