Martinez -- John Martinez, 75, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. He was a member of the Catholic Church, the DAV, and he proudly served his country during W.W.II in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Camilio and Sophia Martinez; two sisters, Aurora and Helen; and three brothers, Pat, Paul, and Benny. John is survived by his loving daughter, Virginia Lopez and her husband, Mike of Los Lunas; two sisters, Olive Padilla, of Albuquerque, and Mary Trujillo, of Denver, CO.; and one brother, Joe Martinez, of Pueblo, CO. John is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado on Monday, September 17, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
