Wayne -- Richard "Tubby" Wayne, 61, a resident of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho for 31 years, passed away on September 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Adelina Wayne; sons, Javier Escalera and Salvador Wayne of Albuquerque; daughters, Sally Nathanson and husband, Richard of Rio Rancho; and Susie Wayne of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Lauren and Dinah Nathanson; brothers, Robert F. Wayne Jr. and wife, Shenda of South Carolina, David Wayne and wife, Sandy of Atlanta, GA, and Steven Wayne of Texas; sister, Janet Methvin and husband, John of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith; brother, Peter Wayne; and Aunt, Janet Boyse. Richard was member of Calvary Chapel & the Silver Saints Group and The Tijeras Golf Course Association. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years followed by 20 years with the Department of Defense Civil Service. Tubby loved golf, traveling, and spending time with family, he was a Vietnam Veteran and took his patriotism and dedication to his country a step beyond his call to duty. Services will be held, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW (2 blks North of Paseo Del Norte) with Pastor Chip Lusko Officiating. Friends may visit Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. before the service. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. following the service.
