Evans -- Mae Evans, 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966, died Sunday, September 16, 2001. She is survived by her sons, Rev. Charles R. Adams and wife, Margie of Elko, NV, George H. Adams and wife, Norma Jean of Olathe, KS, and Jim L. Adams and wife, Rita of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Stephanie Naffziger and husband, Art, Joelen Holmes and husband, Scott, Angelia Metsinger, and Rebecca Smith and husband, Rev. John Smith; grandsons, Rev. Mark Adams and wife, Marilyn, Rev. Ray Adams and wife, Beth, James Adams, and Jeffery Adams and wife, Marsha; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Adams in 1962 and Clarence Evans in 1974. Mrs. Evans was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. Services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona NE, with Pastor J. Curtis Goldman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be James Adams, JeffAdams, Rev. Mark Adams, Rev. Ray Adams, Rev. John Smith, and Art Naffziger. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday, September 19, 2001, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the missions at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona NE, 87110.
