Aragon -- Evaristo Aragon, age 86, beloved father, grandfather and brother was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 13, 2001. Mr. Aragon was a resident of Bernalillo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erlinda, a son, Roger, and a daughter, Selma (Sally). He is survived by his loving children, Rose Diaz and husband, Willie Diaz, Felipe Aragon and wife, Mary Ann, Bernardo Aragon and wife, Lucy, Joe Aragon and wife, Diana, Manuel Aragon and wife, Mary Ann, Ramon Aragon and wife, Goretti all of Bernalillo, Enrique Aragon and wife, Genova of Corrales, Orlando Aragon and wife, Rose of Rio Rancho; a daughter-in-law, Beatrice Aragon of Alameda; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Tomasita Garcia of Bernalillo; one brother, Patricio Aragon of Alamagordo; three sisters-in-law, Sadie, Dora both of Bernalillo, Gabina of Alamagordo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and those who knew and loved him. Visitations will be today from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. also at the church, with the Reverend Virgil Furfaro as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Platcitas Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Julio Aragon, Paul Philip Aragon, Paul Robert Aragon, Reno Aragon, Raul Aragon, Raymond Aragon, Michael Aragon and Alex Chavez.
