Harrison -- Charlie O. Harrison, 75, passed away on June 24, 2001. He was preceded by his loving wife of 42 years, Corine Harrison; and his brother, Ray Harrison of Pueblo Colorado. A devoted father and grandpa, he is survived by his daughters, Virginia Harrison, Jeanette Torres and husband, Danny, Loretta Gurule and husband, Al; grandchildren, Robert Sanchez and wife, Stella, Melissa Garcia and husband, Tom, Kimberly and Kevin Torres, Jennifer Harrison, Alisha, Dominic, Matthew and Avery Gurule; great-grandchildren, Amanda and James Garcia, Alisia and Steven Sanchez; sister-in-law, Sophie Harrison from Pueblo Colorado; brothers, Arthur Harrison and wife, Martha, Albert Harrison and wife, Rosie; sister, Linda Ortiz and husband, Pete; and five other brothers and sisters. Charlie was a proud World War II Veteran that served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He is also a member of the American Legion. He retired after working for 40 years as a manager with Sherwin Williams Paint Store. Charlie was a very devoted Catholic at the Nativity Church where he enjoyed serving as an usher for many years. The family would like to thank the staff of Casa Maria Alzheimer Center for the many years of loving care and Presbyterian Hospice staff for their kindness and devotion in his time of need. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW with Father Hoi Tran Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sanchez, Tom Garcia, Kevin Torres, Artie Harrison, Vincent Harrison and Matthew Gurule. Honorary Pallbearers will be Avery Gurule, Jennifer Harrison and Kim Torres. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Michael J. Fox, Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY, 10163. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. till Rosary.
