Chavez -- Trinidad Joe Chavez, 79, was called home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2001. He was a proud member of the DAV, Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Geraldine Chavez; and brother, Fred Chavez. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Apolonia Chavez; three sons, Eloy Chavez, Tim Chavez and wife, Julie, Gil Chavez all of Albuquerque; six daughters, Shirley Maestas and husband, Joe of Louisville, Colorado, Elenore Rivera of Albuquerque, Connie Cervantes and husband, Richard of Laffette, Colorado, Cindy Jaramillo and husband, Micheal of Albuquerque, Gloria Vigil and husband, Norman of Albuquerque and Elaine Chavez; two brothers, Mike and wife, Lucy of Albuquerque, Ruben and wife, Dora of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two sisters, Mary Nolan and husband, Manuel of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Annie Trujillo and husband, Joe of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening June 11, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning June 12, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Sangre De Christo Catholic Church. Internment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
