Barnett -- Barclay K. Barnett, "Barc", born May 20, 1924 an Albuquerque resident since 1954 died January 11, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Carol Barnett; a son, Luke Barnett and wife, Pam of Albuquerque; a daughter, Lee Malone and husband, Colonel Tim Malone of the U.S. Air Force currently serving in Germany; and grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Malone. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews. Barc attended Oregon State University, Notre Dame University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Through his ownership of Barnett and Co. he was a manufactures representative for commercial heating and cooling systems. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy and concluded his tour of duty as a submarine crewman. Barc was a compassionate and gentle man who never said an unkind word about anyone. He was a caring and generous father and husband and he will be deeply missed by his family. He loved playing golf, racket ball, skiing and working out at the Sports and Wellness Mid Town. Barc will be memorialized at a Private Family Service. Should friends desire contributions may be made to the Rotary Charitable Foundation, P.O. Box 3807, 87190.
