Aragon -- Manuelita "Mamie" Elvira Aragon, 59, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died, Tuesday, January 16, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Demetrio Aragon of Albuquerque; daughter, Diana M. Mizusawa and husband, Edward of Albuquerque; mother, Ophelia Herrera of Inglewood, CO; grandchildren, Zachary, Allie Meisha, Chloe and Joshua; brothers, Alex Herrera, Jr. and wife, Betty, Arthur Herrera, Danny Herrera and wife, Sharon and Ricky Herrera and wife, Susan all of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alex Herrera; and sister, Florenia Rivera. Mrs. Aragon attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and southwest art. She loved music, dancing and shopping. Mamie loved to be with people. She loved spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She was known for her cheerfulness and generosity toward those she loved. She gave of herself unselfishly and all those she touched were enhanced by her life. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Services will be held, Saturday 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW with Elder Lawrence Olguin officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Friday from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.
