Dolan -- Helen V. Dolan, 82, a longtime resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 13, with her family and loved ones at her side. Helen was born in New York City, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Teller) Glover both of New York City. Helen is survived by her sister, Ann Turtell, and brother, Ray Glover both of New York City, and three sons, Daniel R. Dolan, a local attorney, and his wife, Carol, V. William Dolan, Jr., a local bank officer, and his wife, Kathie, Kevin P. Dolan, a systems analyst for Intel and his wife, Natalie. Helen also leaves seven grandchildren, Sean, Becky, Drew and Kaela Dolan and Chris Conger, Susan Vest, and Catherine Davis in Albuquerque, San Diego, San Jose, Pinetop, AZ, Tuscumbia and Montgomery, AL, plus seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. All the sons are longtime residents of Albuquerque. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Vincent Dolan, Sr. (USAF ret.). Helen and Vince were married during WWII when he was a B-24 pilot in North Africa and Italy. She traveled the world with her husband, a career military officer, and settled in Albuquerque in the 1950s. Helen was active in the Catholic Church; first at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and later, Church of the Risen Savior. She was a longtime member of the Retired Officers Wives at Kirtland AFB, the Dominican Retreat League, Alter League, and Pedal Pushers Garden Club. She was a master garden for a period of years and took great pride in her garden and flowers. In addition to gardening, quilting and children were large in her life for years. We will all miss your kind and quiet support and prayers. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the church on Tuesday, October 16th at 10:00 a.m. Helen will rest beside her husband, Vince, at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe later in the week.
