Teeter -- Michael S. Teeter, 58 a Fort Sumner businessman died Friday, August 9, 2002 at his home. He was born October 1, 1943 in Las Vegas, NM the son of Ronald and Mildred B. Teeter. He attended school at Santa Rosa, NM and graduated from New Mexico Military Institute. Michael married Anna Martz on November 24,1962 in Fort Sumner. He attended Arizona State University where he received a business degree. Following graduation from ASU, he worked for General Foods in Albuquerque for two years before returning to Fort Sumner where he and Anna owned and operated Teeter's Department Store; he also served as senior partner of High Plains Aircraft Decorators at the Fort Sumner Industrial Air Park. In 1981 he began Mike Teeter Insurance Agency, Inc. in Fort Sumner; the business grew to Santa Rosa and Moriarty and was renamed Insurance Services of New Mexico in 2000. Mike served on the Fort Sumner Village Council; he also served one term as Mayor was a member of Rotary Club where he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. Mike served on the Eastern New Mexico Natural Gas Board; was a past volunteer firefighter he also served a year as NM State Senator. Mike served as past president of ENMR/Plateau Communications and was currently serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors. Mike and his wife Anna served as associate pastors of Christ Full Gospel Church,"The Church on the Hill" he became senior pastor in 1992. Mike was a member of the Fort Sumner Ministerial Alliance, and was active with the Prison Fellowship program at Guadalupe County Correction Center for the past 4 years. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and friend who gave his heart and soul to his church. Mike enjoyed golfing, reading, snow skiing and swimming. Survivors include his wife of 39 years Anna Teeter of the home in Fort Sumner; two daughters Michele Finch and husband Carl of Dalhart, TX; Christie Lyssy and husband Jim of Fort Sumner, NM; four grandchildren Maegan Finch, Caleb Finch, Candace Lysy, and Micah Lyssy; one sister Ronda Maloney of Friendswood, TX; his mother-in-law Annabel Martz of Fort Sumner along with one niece and four nephews. The casket will be closed at the service. Friends and family may visit Chavez Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2002 at The Church on the Hill with Brother Pete Jaramillo officiating. Burial will follow in the Teeter family plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Cortese, George Gonzales, Lee Koll, Tim Archuleta, Rafael Roybal, Simon Lucero, Michael Foth, and Marion Sena. Honorary bearers will be all his friends; Insurance Services of New Mexico staff members; The Church on The Hill church members, the Fort Sumner business community; and ENMR Board of Directors. Thompson -- Ruth Hart Thompson, age 86, went home to her Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 8, 2002. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Bert B. Thompson. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Thompson; son, District Court Judge Robert L. Thompson; daughter-in-law, Jane Thompson; and grandchildren, Kelly and Sean Thompson, Jeff Dotson, Jill and husband, Bruce Aldridge, Missy and husband, Dan Lowther, Greg Dotson and wife, Amy; sisters, Betty Kirkus and husband, Carl, Louise Johnson; her brother, Jack Hart and wife, Daisy. Ruth was blessed with eight great-grandchildren. Ruth was born to a family of twelve children in Conyers, GA. She was a registered nurse having graduated from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. After graduation she became a flight attendant for TWA, a member of their second class for flight attendants. After marriage, Ruth and Bert settled in Albuquerque in 1940,"when Yale Boulevard was in the country". Ruth enjoyed her music and art. She was a member of Hoffmantown Church. During her lifetime, she demonstrated faith, courage and determination. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Frank Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Joe Sturges, David Schmuck, Dan Lowther, Carlton Pearl, Gerald Lowther and Ken Sullivan. Vishaway -- Frederick Vishaway, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Wednesday, August 7, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Vishaway of Tijeras, NM; daughters, Kathleen Heckler of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Deborah Kinsella and husband, Patrick of Albuquerque, Pamela Serban and husband, William of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jacqueline Young of Modesto, CA; son, Michael A. Vishaway of Albuquerque; daughter, Patricia Maes of Lubbock, TX; son, Paul A. Vishaway and wife, Bernadette of Albuquerque; sister, Emylou Evans and husband, Jim of California; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with Deacon Sandy Hall officiating. Wimpy -- Charles E. Wimpy (Chuck), 64, a resident of Edgewood, died Thursday, August 8, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Michael and wife, Amy, of Edgewood and Jefferey and wife, Tricia, of Denver; brothers, Ken and wife Pat, Ed and wife Cathy, all of Aztec, NM, Lindel and wife Doris, of Junction City, Oregeon, and Bill and wife, Shirley, of Arlington, Texas; mother, Pauline Elder of Aztec, NM; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces. Charles was preceded in death by his father, William A. Wimpy. Chuck was born in Elk City, Oklahoma and was veteran of the United States Army. He was Service Manager for Wimpy Chevrolet Co. in Aztec and owned his own business, C & C Auto Repair in Aztec. He was a member of the Aztec City Commission and served as Mayor of Aztec in the 1970's. For a time, Mr. Wimpy was a member of the Mounted Patrol of the State of New Mexico. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. , Monday, August 12, 2002, at the Believer's Center of Albuquerque, 320 Waterfall Dr. SE, with Pastors Marshall Townsley and John Ross, officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Davis -- Evelyn M. Davis, 82, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2002 of lung cancer. She is preceded in death by husband, Gerald; son, Terry Lee; and grandson, Billy. She is survived by daughters, Geraldine Hansen and husband, Kirk of Idaho, Tina Lansing of Ohio, Polly Wilson of Los Lunas, Jackie Walsh and husband, Mike of Albuquerque; son, Dale Davis of Los Lunas; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She worked 12 years as a foster grandparent at the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School. We would like to thank her dear friends, Elsa and Marie for their constant support, love and friendship. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Lovelace Hospital and St. Joseph's Cancer Center for their many kindnesses. Gilbert -- Roger Gilbert. A Memorial will be held for Roger Gilbert at the family home, 1624 Los Alamos Ave. SW, Albuquerque on Saturday, 17 August 2002 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p,m. The event will be informal, as he would have wished. Family and friends can drop in during the afternoon to share stories and good memories. Mr. Gilbert, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died 1 July 2002.

Harlin -- Albert Lee Harlin, age 78, and a resident of Albuquerque for 57 years, died August 8, 2002. He is survived by three Children, Daniel L. Harlan and wife, Laura, Betty J. Harlan and John Harlan; three grandchildren, Naomi J. Harlan, Jeremiah Harlan and wife, Robin and Allenmykael Harlin; great-grandson, Tristan Harlin; one brother, Robert Harlin and wife, Lenora; one niece and great-nephew; and ex-wife, Oma G. Harlin. Lee was an ironworker for 28 years. Services will be held Saturday, August 10, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE with Mr. Larry Pierson officiating. Hawley -- Marguerite Rose Hawley, age 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in Santa Fe on August 7, 2002. Marguerite was born in Fonda, Iowa on June 23, 1923 and moved to Albuquerque in 1928 with her mother, father, sister, and three brothers. Marguerite attended St. Vincents Girls School and was a graduate of Albuquerque High School. Marguerite was an employee at the lovelace clinicfor 22 years. Through her loving and caring, she dedicated her seventy-nine years of life to her wonderful husband and three children. Marguerite will be truly missed. Marguerite was preceded in passing by her loving husband Clifford J. Hawley Sr., a member of the State Legislature and a Republican candidate for Governor in 1966 and 1968; daughter, Jean Marie Hawley; Grandson Scott W. Chowning; father, Raymond Gannon; mother, Mattie Gannon; brothers, Raymond Gannon, a marine survivor of the Iowa Jima campaign, Harold and Charles Gannon, survivors of the Bataan/Corregidor campaign and interment at Cabanatuan Prison Camp. She was also preceded in passing by her brother-in-law William L. Hawley who perished while captive at the Cabantuan Prison Camp. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Eileen A. Wright; son, Clifford J. Hawley Jr; sister Benita Cline; brother-in-law, Thomas A. Hawley; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. All family and friends of Marguerite Hawley are invited to attend graveside services and burial on Monday, August 12, 2002 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, Albuquerque.

Hensley -- Phyllis Hensley, a resident of Albuquerque since 1962, died Tuesday, August 6, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Frank; sons, Gregory William Kellerman and wife, Bonnie of Silver Bay, MN, Robert Kevin Kellerman of Albuquerque; daughter, Debra Kay Kellerman and husband, Anthony Wandersee of Oak Island, MN; daughter-in-law, Dianne Kellerman Brack of Farmington, NM; stepson, Foster Hensley of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Greg Kellerman, Deanna Koenen and husband, James, Zachary Kellerman, Jeff Kellerman and wife, Kerrie, Pat Kellerman, Hannah Wandersee and Cole Wandersee; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandson, Collin James Koenen; brothers, Donald Meacham and wife, Ardie of Bemidji, MN and Douglas Meacham of Crosby, MN; sister, Shirley Davies and husband, John of Crosby, MN; and many other nieces, nephews and relatives. Howey -- JoAnn Howey, 71, Christian, wife, mother, sister, and daughter, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 8, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hugh Howey, of Albuquerque; daughters, Sandra Russell, Terrie Howey, and Dana-Howey Suazo and husband Silas, all of Albuquerque; son, Warren Howey of Albuquerque; sister, Karen Jones and husband, Johnny, of Miami, AZ; brother, Jay Irving of Globe, AZ; four grandchildren, Matthew Shoberg, Sarah Suazo, Miguel Suazo, and Joseph Ulibarri; and two great-granddaughters.
