Howey -- JoAnn Howey, 71, Christian, wife, mother, sister, and daughter, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 8, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hugh Howey, of Albuquerque; daughters, Sandra Russell, Terrie Howey, and Dana-Howey Suazo and husband Silas, all of Albuquerque; son, Warren Howey of Albuquerque; sister, Karen Jones and husband, Johnny, of Miami, AZ; brother, Jay Irving of Globe, AZ; four grandchildren, Matthew Shoberg, Sarah Suazo, Miguel Suazo, and Joseph Ulibarri; and two great-granddaughters. The family would like to thank the many wonderful friends, neighbors, and family who gave their love and support through this long, difficult time. Services will be held Monday, August 12, 2002, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Pastor C. B. Blankenship officiating. Donations can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, 87110. Viewing and visitation will take place at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Sunday, August 11, 2002, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.
