Earle -- Shirley M. Earle, 65, a resident of Albuquerque and Los Lunas, died Saturday, August 10, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Michael B. Earle, Sr. of Los Lunas; sons, Ira W. Bowers and wife, Nadine of Albuquerque, Nathan W. Bowers and wife, Victoria of Loveland, CO, Michael B. Earle, Jr. and wife, Corrine of Clayton, Gabriel M. Earle and wife, Patty of Raton; daughters, Leann K. Bowers of Albuquerque, Delia B. Earle of Raton; grandchildren, David W. Bowers, Steven C. Bowers, Ricky L. Marquez, Earle grandchildren, Aaron, Jade, Luke, Teira, Troy, Jasmine, Sara Rose, Daisey, Matthew, Alejandro; great-grandchildren, David A. Bowers, Isaiah W. Bowers; sister, Imy Reynolds and husband, Joe of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley worked for 31 years as a nurse tech with Presbyterian, 4 years, and St. Joseph Hospitals, 27 years. She dedicated her life to providing love and care to all her patients. Shirley continued to better herself in the healthcare field to provide optimum care for her patients. Her life represented the epitome of perfection to her husband, family, and co-workers. This was her life 24/7 even to her last breath. When she was concerned for you,"she was in your face and on your case!" Shirley was a loyal and dedicated wife, mother, and friend, and she will be dearly missed. Private services will be held. Hawley -- Marguerite Rose Hawley, age 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in Santa Fe on August 7, 2002. Marguerite was born in Fonda, Iowa on June 23, 1923 and moved to Albuquerque in 1928 with her mother, father, sister, and three brothers. Marguerite attended St. Vincents Girls School and was a graduate of Albuquerque High School. Marguerite was an employee at the lovelace clinicfor 22 years. Through her loving and caring, she dedicated her seventy-nine years of life to her wonderful husband and three children. Marguerite will be truly missed. Marguerite was preceded in passing by her loving husband Clifford J. Hawley Sr., a member of the State Legislature and a Republican candidate for Governor in 1966 and 1968; daughter, Jean Marie Hawley; Grandson Scott W. Chowning; father, Raymond Gannon; mother, Mattie Gannon; brothers, Raymond Gannon, a marine survivor of the Iowa Jima campaign, Harold and Charles Gannon, survivors of the Bataan/Corregidor campaign and interment at Cabanatuan Prison Camp. She was also preceded in passing by her brother-in-law William L. Hawley who perished while captive at the Cabantuan Prison Camp. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Eileen A. Wright; son, Clifford J. Hawley Jr; sister Benita Cline; brother-in-law, Thomas A. Hawley; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. All family and friends of Marguerite Hawley are invited to attend graveside services and burial on Monday, August 12, 2002 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, Albuquerque.

Howey -- JoAnn Howey, 71, Christian, wife, mother, sister, and daughter, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, August 8, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hugh Howey, of Albuquerque; daughters, Sandra Russell, Terrie Howey, and Dana-Howey Suazo and husband Silas, all of Albuquerque; son, Warren Howey of Albuquerque; sister, Karen Jones and husband, Johnny, of Miami, AZ; brother, Jay Irving of Globe, AZ; four grandchildren, Matthew Shoberg, Sarah Suazo, Miguel Suazo, and Joseph Ulibarri; and two great-granddaughters. The family would like to thank the many wonderful friends, neighbors, and family who gave their love and support through this long, difficult time. Lang -- Tommy H. Lang, age 18, passed away Friday, August 9, 2002, after an accident. He was born January 12, 1984. He is survived by his father, T. H. Lang and wife Shelly of Albuquerque and mother Kimberley M. Lang of Albuquerque; two younger sisters, Maggie Lang and Brittany Lang of Albuquerque; grandmother, Margaret Gillespie of Albuquerque; grandmother, Carolyn Lanphere and husband Eric D. Lanphere of Albuquerque; great grandmother, Nell Cleveland of Galveston, Texas; two uncles, William P. Lang and wife Elizabeth of Albuquerque and Eric C. Lanphere and wife Debora of Albuquerque; two aunts, Angela Lang of Corrales and Marcelle Kirshner and husband Shaun of Camarillo, Calif. Tommy Lang was a recent graduate of Valley High School and was planning to attend Colorado State University this fall to study business and business law. He was a snowboarder, water-skier, scuba diver and wakeboarder. He also enjoyed aviation and automobile mechanics and collected foreign coins and exotic knives. He worked with aerobatic airplanes at White Walthram Airport, Maidenhead Berkshire, UK. He attended Calvary Chapel. A private visitation for family and friends is scheduled for today from 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave., SE. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Road NE. Pastor Skip Heitzig will be officiating. Pallbearers include T.H. Lang, Kimberley M. Lang, Shelly Lang, Rob Young, Maggie Lang and Brittany Lang. Honorary pallbearers are William P. Lang, Pepper Lang, Ryan Hall, Kiersten Hall, Lenä Larson, Robert Brault, Jack Baker, Manuel Chavez, Eric C. Lanphere, Claude Padilla, Glynn Rice, Robbie Staehlin, Nigel Warren and Matt Varoz. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. by Pastor Jerry Leyba. A committal service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 noon with full military honors by the D.A.V. chapter 3. Pallbearers will be Joseph Lucero, Vincente Lucero, Isaac Lucero, Marie Baca, Felix Chavez and Richard Ulibarri. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond and Raul Lucero. Marron -- Joyce L. Marron, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died Thursday, August 8, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Lyman and husband, Thomas of Carlsbad, CA, Denise Marron-Taylor and Lisa Marron; grandson, Randy Martinez; granddaughter, Robin Martinez, all of Albuquerque; and brother, Richard Lawrence and wife, Irene of Hesperia, CA. Born in Long Beach, CA, she attended Long Beach City College and was one of the first graduates of Long Beach State College. Mrs. Marron moved to New Mexico and taught first grade at Wherry School. She became"Miss Joyce" on the nationally syndicated show"Romper Room" shown on KGGM Channel 13 in the late 50's and early 60's. Then she began a long tenure as"Mrs. Marron" on KNME"TV Kindergarten" which was the official kindergarten for APS in the 60"s. She was presented the prestigious McCall's"Golden Mike" Award, awarded for excellence in broadcasting. She received a congratulatory telegram from President Kennedy. After retiring from television she taught kindergarten at Matheson Park Elementary for several years and retired from APS. Cremation has taken place and Niche side services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Matteucci -- Teresa Matteucci, 98, a resident of Albuquerque for 76 years, died Friday, August 9, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Matteucci; sons, Pete Matteucci and wife, Clara, Fred Matteucci and Richard Matteucci, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Matteucci was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1984. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Montoya -- Benny A. Montoya, 89, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Thursday, August 8, 2002. He is survived by his son, Joe Bernard Montoya and wife, Mercie of Orlando, FL; daughters, Bernice Archuleta and husband, Mel of El Rito, NM and Marcie Espinoza and husband, Bill of Salt Lake City, UT; son, Don Montoya and wife, Irene of Albuquerque; daughter Linda of Alabama; son, Rey Montoya and wife, Terri of Las Vegas, NV; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Louie Montoya; and sister, Clara Jaramillo and husband, Sam and companion, Maria Socorro Fernandez, all of Albuquerque. Mr. Montoya was preceded in death by his wife, Odilia Montoya; son, Donaciano Montoya; grandson, Grant Montoya; granddaughters, Natile Pacifico and Darlene Baca; and great-granddaughter, Yvonne Baca. He was born in Estancia and raised in Madrid. Mr. Montoya worked as a coal miner in Madrid, a janitor at the Kimo Theater and as a farmer, and as a roofer before working for the state. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 N. 4th Street, Alameda. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Alfonso Montoya, Stephen Edmiston, Andres Montoya, Phillip Montoya, Mauricio Rodriguez and Ricky Jojola. Nicholson -- William Charles"Chuck" Nicholson, Jr., a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away suddenly on August 9, 2002. Chuck was born on July 19, 1957 to William and Sandra Nicholson in Atlanta, Georgia. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman, loved to fish and enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his beloved parents William and Sandra Nicholson of El Paso, TX; children William Charles III and Crystal Lynn Nicholson of Buffalo, NY; sister Diane and husband Jeff Humbert of Albuquerque; brothers Mike Nicholson of Rio Rancho and Tommy Nicholson and wife Grace of El Paso, TX; long time companion Darlene Mayes of Moriarty; devoted friend Robert Rivers of Corrales; granddaughter Cierra Nicholson of Buffalo, NY; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Chuck will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service for Chuck will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 2400 Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho. Scott -- Mary E. Scott (Scottie),age 76 and a resident of Albuquerque for more than 30 years, died August 7, 2002 at Lovelace Hospital of complications from heart and lung disease. She was born in Waycross, GA, served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, graduated from Ohio State University and went on to attain a Master's Degree at Arizona State. After teaching school in Ohio and Arizona, she changed careers and became a Real Estate Appraiser for HUD-FHA and later as a partner in Albuquerque Appraisal Associates. She is survived by her sister Marjory Blount of Forest Park, GA; brother Paul Scott of Poway, CA; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend Margaret Buchholzer. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
