GARCIA -- Tommie Garcia, 73, a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, February 5, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe Garcia of Albuquerque; daughter, Cecelia Patricia Klieaslima and husband, Ray of Corpus Christi, TX; son, Jimmy Lee Garcia and wife, Lorraine Rita of Albuquerque; 5 grandchildren, Anthony and Ramona Jaramillo, Desiray and Nicole Trujillo and Cynthia Baca; 3 great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Rsaiah Trujillo and Jasmine Baca; sister, Rose Lewis; and brother-in-law, John Jojola. Tommie was a member of San Ignacio Catholic Church. She worked for Albuquerque Public Schools for 20 years before retiring. Tommie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed. A rosary will be recited Monday, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. GIBBENS -- Carolyn S. Gibbens, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1987 passed away on February 7, 2004. Carolyn was born in Newport News, VA on November 13, 1932 to Eva and Clarence Roberts. She is survived by her children, Jerri Dianne Johnson and her husband, Harry of Rio Rancho, Jeannette Darlene Berndt of Victorville, CA, Jerry Donald Gibbens and wife, Marie of Albuquerque; Jennifer Denise Edwards of Albuquerque; brother, Clarence Roberts, Jr. of Hickory, NC; sisters, Gwendolyn Harrell of Dinwiddie, VA and Elaine Baker of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Dennis Rasmussen, Jacob Gibbens, Christopher Rasmussen, Brandi Edwards, Clerrissa Edwards, Jessicca Gibbens, Alyssa Johnson, and Taryn Johnson; 2 great-grandchildren, Daniel Rasmussen and Jennifer-Deen Gibbens. Carolyn was a Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and twice Past Royal Matron in the Order of Amaranth and she belonged to the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She liked to do crafts and ride her bike with her grandson, Jacob. She worked at Albertson's in Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers family requests memorial contributions be made to a Hospice Program of choice. GREASER -- Rose Marie Greaser,79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999 passed away on February 7, 2004. She is survived by her sons, Bill Greaser and wife, Melanie of Amarillo, TX and Dwayne Greaser and wife, Mackie of Albuquerque; daughters, Linda Bianchi and husband, Mike of Las Cruces and Pam Beets and Jimmy of Columbia, IL; sisters, Goldie Woods of Arkansas, Odessa Gigante of Albuquerque and Ruby Gigante of Raton; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Marie was a member of Taylor Ranch Baptist Church. Marie was a former member of the Scotsdale Baptist Church in El Paso where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years . She was a loving mother and homemaker. Services will be held at Taylor Ranch Baptist Church , 6400 Golf Course Rd. HARRISON -- Ernest Harrison died February 4, 2004 in Naples, FL. born January 14, 1929 in White Wright, TX, a graduate of Clovis High School and the University of New Mexico. Ernie served 30 years in the F.B.I. He had a second career as a banker in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Harrison; his daughter, Deborah Mande; grandchildren, Joe Mande, Rachel Mande; brother, Bill Harrison; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials preferred to the donor's charity of choice.

HUGHES -- Jean G. Hughes, 63, a resident of Albuquerque since 1982, passed away suddenly from cancer on Friday, February 6, 2004. Jean and his twin brother, Jay, were born July 28, 1940, to Jim and Helen Hughes of Raytown, MO. Jean graduated in 1962 from Central Missouri State College with a bachelor degree in Business Administration. He then entered the Navy and served on the U.S.S. Constitution as well as other duty stations from 1963 to 1966. After an Honorable discharge, Jean joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he served for 25 years, retiring in 1990. In 1967, Jean married Elaine Alford of Cincinnati, Ohio (later divorcing). They had three children; Michael, Lisa and Kira and in 2002 Jean became a grandfather to his only grandchild, Gillian. He was a wonderful and loving "Pappy" to Gilli. During his retirement years, Jean became active in Cowboy Action Shooting and founded the Rio Grande Renegades Shooting Club. Jean was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. MAEZ -- Rafelita Maez, age 69, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2004 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born August 1, 1934 in New Mexico to Elias Maez and Marianita Pacheo Maez. Survivors include one sister Lucy Maez of Albuquerque; one niece Isabele Maez of Albuquerque; two nephews Michael Anthony Maez of Garland, TX, Albert James Maez of Albuquerque; very special friend Lillian Saiz and her family. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM, Monday, February 9, 2004 at St. Anne?s Catholic Church, 1734 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque, NM. MCNABB -- Joanne "TJ" Wright-McNabb, 63, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, died Friday, February 6, 2004. She is survived by her husband G. Edward McNabb of Albuquerque; son Christopher Troy McNabb and wife Mary of Lewisville, TX; daughter Kimberly Suzanne Cashman and husband Lyle of Vernon, CT; grandchildren Joel and Timothy Cashman, Katherine, Miriah, Hannah and Rebekah McNabb; brothers, Harold Wright and wife Mary Lou of Strongsville, OH, and Rev. Paul Wright and wife Donna of Negley, OH; sister Janet Horton of Adena, OH; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ed and Violet McNabb of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law Dr. Greg McNabb of San Jose, CA; and sister-in-law Gloreen Alexander of Orrington, ME. MERCURE -- MSGT Alphonse J. Mercure (USAF, Ret.), 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, passed away peacefully at Manor Care Heights Nursing Home, Friday, February 6, 2004. He is survived by his wife and partner of 30 years, Annie of Albuquerque; step-daughter Linda Ortega and husband Lee Ortega of Albuquerque; grandson Niles Lecroy, and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Floria Brophy of Florida; nephew, Jerry Brophy and wife Tina of Florida; as well as many other nieces, nephews and relatives. MSGT Mercure was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary, in 1974, and son, Martin, who died in 1964 at the age of 6. He was born Thursday, March 13, 1913, in Marquette, Michigan. MSGT Mercure served in the United States Air Force from 1941 until his retirement in 1963. He received the Commendation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Silver Clasp with Loops, and Air Force longevity Service Award Ribbon with Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters. He served in Civil Service from 1965 to 1979. MSGT Mercure was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a kind, generous, lovable person and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rosary will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004, 7:00 p.m., at. MILLS -- Lillian Louise Littleton Mills, 92, was born January 9, 1912 in Fort Scott, Kansas. She passed away on February 7, 2004 in Albuquerque. Lillian graduated from Fort Scott High School in 1930 and began college at the nearby teacher's college in Pittsburg, Kansas. That college is now Pittsburg State University where both of her sons were graduated. Lillian was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kansas City for over 50 years where she served as both trustee and church secretary. Harlie and Lillian hosted and sponsored many needy young married students at Midwestern Baptist Seminary, taking them into their empty nest to provide housing during their seminary education. After moving to Rio Rancho in 1984, Lillian was active in the Rio Rancho Lion's Club where she served as secretary, was elected Lion of the Year in 1994, and was named a Melvin Jones Fellow by the Lions Club International Foundation for dedicated humanitarian service. She served as a trustee of First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho while working as a secretary for International Lubrication and Fuel Consultants, Inc. She was preceded in death by her husband Harlie Burton Mills on April 7, 1985. She is survived by her two children: Burton L. Mills of Wayne, NJ, and his wife Barbara R. Mills; and Barry L. Mills and his wife Susan W. Mills. She had five grandchildren: Heather M. Wichmann, Barry L. "Rip" Mills, Jr., Burton R. Mills, Robert H. Mills, Julia L. Mills. She leaves two great grandchildren, Emily T. Wichmann and Alexander L. Wichmann. Arrangements are being handled by Vista Verde Funeral Home in Rio Rancho. The family asks that contributions in lieu of flowers be made to the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho's building fund.

MOLLENKOPF -- Shirlee Irene Mollenkopf, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Friday, February 6, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin "Bill" Mollenkopf of Albuquerque; sons, William Howard Mollenkopf and wife Judy of Cortez, Colorado, Bruce Evan Mollenkopf and wife Debby, of Albuquerque; and grandsons Scott and wife Audrey and great-grandaughter, Morgan, Michael, and Adam and wife Nikki. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jared. Mrs. Mollenkopf and her husband established Perfumes of the Desert in Old Town in 1948. Over the years they owned and managed Old Town Indian Trading Post and Old Town Perfume and Candle. She was also very active in Cub Scouting. Mrs. Mollenkopf loved fishing in Lake City, Colorado. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Entombment will follow.
