Brannan -- Glen Brannan, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Sunday, May 16, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Nena A. Brannan of the home; sons, Dale Brannan and wife, Beverly of St. Louis, MO, Paul Brannan and wife, Jody of Albuquerque, and Gary Brannan and wife, Virginia of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Dina and husband, Jim Patterson Jr., John Brannan, Mark Brannan, David Brannan, Joie Brannan, and Paulette Brannan; brothers, John Brannan of Showlow, AZ and Richard Brannan and wife, Gloria of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Evelyn of Belen; five nephews; and ten nieces. He was preceded by his sister, Pauline Simason; and brothers, Overton Brannan and Joe Brannan. Mr. Brannan was a member of Mountainside Church of Christ and was a song leader in the Church of Christ for over 60 years. He retired from the USAF and then worked for Hutchison Fruit Company as a bookkeeper and office manager. Services will be held Friday, May 21, 1999, 9:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Howard McCall, Gene Decker, Randy Asbill, Steve West, Frank Ulibarri and Bill Stevens. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Perez -- Ramon Perez, 67, of Fort Sumner, NM, died Tuesday, July 14, 1998 at his home following an extended illness. Ramon was born February 23, 1931 in Albuquerque to the home of Ramon Perez Sr. and the former Sarah Barrio. He was reared and attended school at Vaughn, NM, where he graduated in 1951. Following graduation he worked on the family ranch, east of Vaughn. He operated the Hubbel Ranch at Quemado, NM from 1969-1977. Ramon married Deanna L. Marcilla on August 15, 1970. Ramon and Deanna returned to the family ranch, east of Vaughn from 1977 until 1988, when they moved to Fort Sumner. Ramon was a member of the NM Wool Growers Assn., NM Cattle Growers, Farm Bureau, and a 4-H leader. He was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Anthony Parish in Fort Sumner. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Carmen Perez Alonzo in 1993. Survivors include his wife, Deanna Perez of the home in Fort Sumner; two daughters, Nicole Perez of the family home and Laree Perez Losey of Corrales, NM; a son, Frank Perez of Albuquerque. Also surviving are two sisters, Alice Perez of Vaughn, NM and Anna Osle of Albuquerque; one brother, Albert Perez and his wife, Corrine of Vaughn, NM; a brother-in-law, Manolo Alonzo of Vaughn, NM. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Chavez Funeral Home. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 1998 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 18, 1998, from the church with Father Anthony Bolman, Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will follow at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jack Achen, Lewis Hisel, Charlie Overton, Jim Koontz, James West, Paul Horney, Nick Cortese, Dick Byrd, Ty Earl Powell, Alex Gazolas, Michael Harriet, Jim Williams, R.J. Cook, and Jerry Gonzales. Honorary bearers will include Ralph Lund, Walter Overton, Allen Doak, Buddy Cortese, Cecil West, Red West, Johnny Muno, Louie Erramuspe, Roc Mark, J.O. Achen, Knox Cortese, Jack Lucero, John Josser, Henry Saiz, Bob Ratliff, and all his many friends and neighbors. A memorial fund has been established at Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 490, Fort Sumner, NM 88119. The family also requests memorials to the Fort Sumner Cemetery Assn., P.O. Box 180, Fort Sumner, NM 88119.
