ARMIJO -- Daniel Armijo, age 67, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home by our Heavenly Father, on Wednesday, November 17, 2004. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Alameda; and a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Louisa Armijo; brothers, Walter and David Armijo; a daughter, Gloria Jean Day; and a son, Rudy Armijo. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Bertha of the family home; three sons, Jason, Walter, and Antonio Armijo; six daughters, Anntonette, Kathy, Linda, Anna Armijo, Christine Cordova and husband, Ruben, and Abby Armijo and husband, David Montoya; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are a brother, Alfred Armijo; sisters, Sophie Armijo-Gallegos and husband, Ross, Sylvia Armijo-Romero and husband, Mark, Yvonne Armijo, Theresa Villanueva and husband, Rick; numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved family members and friends. Daniel will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Tuesday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Gino Gomez, Sophie Armijo-Gallegos, Mark Romero, Ricky Barranca, Eusbio Duran, and Joe Chavez. Honorary bearers will be Naomi Duran, Cassandra Cordova, Isaac Cordova, David C. MARTINEZ -- Anna. Ms. Anna Martinez, 88, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on November 18, 2004. Ms. Martinez is survived by her brother, Joe E. Martinez Jr.; sister in law, Margaret Martinez; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ms. Martinez was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Flora Martinez; a sister, Guadalupe Martinez, three brothers, Natividad C. Martinez, Carlos Martinez and Manuel Martinez; sisters in law, Loriena Martinez and Frances Martinez. Ms. Martinez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Ms. Martinez will be Sunday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th St. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. by Charles Aguilar. A final visitation for Ms. Martinez will be Monday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. OTERO -- Alice C. Mrs. Alice C. Otero, 85, born May 16, 1919 and a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family. She went to walk on the streets of gold with our Lord on Thursday, November 18, 2004 after a long illness. She was born in Endee, N.M. and resided in Tucumcari until 1951, she then moved to Los Angeles, California until she retired from Zerox in 1981. Mrs. Otero then moved to Albuquerque and has been a resident since then. Mrs. Otero is survived by her loving children, Joan Teran and husband, Mario, Richard Otero, Patricia (Patsy ) Gutierrez and husband, Bernie and Ruben Bustamante; four sisters, Delfina Falcon, Irene Chavez, Mary Lou Sanchez and husband, Juan, Georgia Sanchez and husband, Robert; two brothers, Enrique Cordova and wife, Julia, Albert Anaya and wife, Leona; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Otero was a member of the Catholic Church and Los Volcanes Senior Citizens Center. A visitation for Mrs. Otero will be Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Michael Barreras, Rick Trujillo, Carlos Bustamante, Ruben Bustamante Jr., Andrew Chavez and Jospeh Chavez. KINNEY -- Diana Wolf Kinney, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2004. A devoted and loving wife and a great mom, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bart Kinney, Jr. She is survived by her children, Kathryn J. (Katie) Kinney of Eaton CO; Karen Kinney Norton and husband, Don of Wichita, KS; Bart H. Kinney III and wife, Jerri of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Kenneth and Diana Norton of Wichita and Joey and CJ Kinney of Albuquerque. She is also survived by brothers, Gerald Wolf of Albuquerque and John Wolf and wife, Margaret of McCall, Idaho. Diana was born April 30, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Las Vegas, NM and then to Albuquerque in the 1930s. She graduated from Albuquerque High School and the University of New Mexico where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. A lifelong lover of all God's creatures, Diana was happiest in the Pecos Mountains surrounded by her family and the many animals that were so very important to her throughout her life. The family is grateful for the loving assistance of all who helped her during these last difficult weeks especially Kathy Blakely of Odyssey Hospice and Isabel Griego and Hazel Chavez of Home Instead. Our mom had a great run. A celebration of Diana's full and vibrant life will be held Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 3:00 pm at St. Marks-on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church with a reception following at the Albuquerque Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Watermelon Mountain Ranch, a local animal rescue organization. MARTINEZ -- David Martinez died Thursday, November 18, 2004 in Los Lunas at the age of 72. Mr. Martinez worked for the City of Albuquerque and retired after 30 years of service. He is survived by his son, David Martinez Jr. and wife, Monique; daughters, Bertha Martinez, Linda Chavez and husband, Michael, Elizabeth De Lira and husband, Jose Luis, and Patricia Carpio Hernandez and husband, Daniel; brothers, Bruno Martinez, Salvador Martinez and Johnny Martinez; sisters, Christina Sanchez, Anna Pando and husband, Frank, Estella Para and husband, Fidel, and Josie Martinez and husband, Andres; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. also at Salazar & Sons Mortuary.
