MARTINEZ -- David Martinez died Thursday, November 18, 2004 in Los Lunas at the age of 72. Mr. Martinez worked for the City of Albuquerque and retired after 30 years of service. He is survived by his son, David Martinez Jr. and wife, Monique; daughters, Bertha Martinez, Linda Chavez and husband, Michael, Elizabeth De Lira and husband, Jose Luis, and Patricia Carpio Hernandez and husband, Daniel; brothers, Bruno Martinez, Salvador Martinez and Johnny Martinez; sisters, Christina Sanchez, Anna Pando and husband, Frank, Estella Para and husband, Fidel, and Josie Martinez and husband, Andres; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. also at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2004 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David R. Martinez Jr., Michael Chavez Sr., Ruben Miera (Orlando), Juan Garcia, (Chewy) Jesus Delgado Jr., and Michael Chavez III.
