THOMPSON -- Cora L. McNair Booker Thompson was born November 3, 1911 in Chandler, OK. One of eight children, Cora was born to Ross Lyle and Delia Jackson Lyle. Mother Thompson was saved at an early age in Coffeyville, KS and the First and Union C.O.G.I.C. She later moved to Wichita, KS and on to Great Bend, KS. Mother Thompson moved to Albuquerque, NM in March of 2004, where she began her fellowship at Metropolitan Temple C.O.G.I.C. Preceded in death by her daughter, Glenda Faye McNair Atkins; son-in-law, Murphy Atkins Sr.; granddaughter, Melinda Atkins Miller; sisters, Velma Hunt, Letha Slaughter and Addie Zollicoffee; brothers, Walter Lyle, Armer Lyle and Percy Lyle, Cora leaves to mourn her sister, Julia Kennard of Kent, MI; her grandchildren, Murphy B. Atkins Jr. of Wichita, KS; Mervin L. Atkins, Michael D. Atkins, Marion L. Winnier, Marnita F. Altra, and Muhammad Ali Atkins, all of Seattle, WA; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and four generations of other relatives and a host of friends who loved and will miss her. A Home Going Service will be held at Metropolitan Temple C.O.G.I.C, 1120 Second Street NW, in Albuquerque, NM on Friday, June 9, 2006. The visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., with the Service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor J.L'Keith Jones will officiate. WASSON -- Arthur Wasson, 81 years old, a long-time resident of Albuquerque and a life-long resident of New Mexico, went to be with our Lord Monday, June 5, 2005. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Carrie Sue Wasson; sister, Rose Gonzales; brothers, James Wasson and wife, Viola and Joseph Wasson and wife, Josie; also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie in 2004 and by his beloved son, Michael in 2003. Arthur was a Navy veteran who served in World War II and he was a member of the American Legion Post 13 where he was employed for a number of years. A Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Deacon Ruben Barela reciting. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Church, 5312 Claremont Ave. NE. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, June 12, 2006, 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Larry Gonzales, John Gonzales, Thomas Wasson, Samuel Wasson, Joseph Wasson Jr., and Jonathon Wasson. ALDERETE -- Hilario "Larry" A. Alderete, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, June 3, 2006. He served as a Private First-Class from September 1940 until June 1953, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosario Rangel Alderete. Larry was also survived by his children: Tom (Arlene) Alderete, their children-Nicolas, Joshua, Stephanie; Rita (Delbert) Chavez, their children- Melissa, Isaac; Larry (Sandra) Alderete, their children: Jeremy, Crystal; and one great-grandchild, Bella; brother: Henry (Sally)Alderete; sisters: Ruth Balboa and Connie Barela. Mr. Alderete's family will be reflecting on his life with a Visitation/Life Celebration Service. The Visitation for Mr. Alderete will be Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Reflection of Life Chapel followed by a Life Celebration Service at 7:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. BRADY -- Angeline M. (Angie), 87, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on June 3, 2006 in Independence, MO. Mrs. Brady was born in Carrizozo, NM to William and Josephine (Sais) Brady. She is survived by her daughter, Emma F.Law and husband, Ronald of Independence, MO; two grandchildren, Michael Carriger and wife, Beverly and Rinney Law and wife, Lisa; six great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-great grandchild; and other loving relatives and friends. BUTLER -- Florence M. Butler, 92. Florence passed Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Born in Lynn, MA, she moved to Albuquerque with her late husband, Paul and son, Richard in 1959. She retired from Kirtland Air Force Base in 1983. She was a unique woman who appreciated everything and everyone in her life. Never once would she turn down someone in need of help. She was a great mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor who will be missed and never forgotten. She is survived by her son; grandson, Micheal; his wife, Jennifer; and great-granddaughter, Morgan; granddaughters, Rebecca and Amy. A small Service for family and friends was held last Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque.

CORDOVA -- Alfred Cordova, Jr., 64, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Sunday June 4, 2006 with his loving family present. He is survived by his parents, Alfredo and Lina Cordova; his sister, Dorothy Barnhill; his children, Anthony Cordova and wife, Lisa, Corina Sandoval and husband, Richard; his lifelong partner, Marilyn Baumgardner and her son Mark; and blessed with his grandchildren, Terek Milligan, Mikala and Khristiana Sandoval, and Vinzent Cordova. He was preceded in death by his sister, Naida Cordova. Cordova was a retired Lieutenant for the Albuquerque Fire Department and was also a decorated veteran of the Korean War receiving an Air Force Good Conduct medal. Al will be remembered as a loving son, wonderful father, adoring grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Rosary for Mr. Cordova will be recited on Thursday evening, June 8, 2006, at 7:15 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. CUMMINGS -- Jean Louise Cummings, 78, passed away on June 3, 2006, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family after a long illness. Grandpa, your Queen is coming home to you. Jean was preceded in death by her son, John, and husband, Bill. She was an active member of All Saints Lutheran Church. Jean is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Thank you Suzanne and Cori, for loving and caring for Jeannie. You made her last days so peaceful and full of love. DORN -- William Woodrow Dorn Sr. was born April 3, 1923 and passed away on June 3, 2006 at 0200 hours military standard time at the Regional Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Dorn; daughters, Mary Ann and Martha Dorn. He is also survived by his sons and daughters, Johnny R. Dorn and wife, Nova, Stella Griffin-Moss and husband, Clifford Moss, Diana Dorn-Jones and husband, Dr. Terence Jones, Reverend William W. Dorn and wife, Vodra, and Susan Dorn-Dixon; siblings, Lillian Matthews, Oklahoma; Margaret Johnson, California, Queen E. Lester, Ohio, and Mayor Roosevelt Dorn, California; grandchildren, Darryl Griffin, Damon Griffin, Ta-Ta Nisha Goss, Ruben Dorn, Sowsan Dorn, Dectra Dixon, Juliette Ochieng; and nine great-grandchildren. DUNNING -- Effie Snyder Dunning, 92, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, passed away on May 31, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, George and Harriet Snyder; and her seven sisters and their spouses. She is survived by her two daughters, Norma (Russ) Taylor and Maxine (Ralph) Melbourne, both of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Sandra (Gary) Miller of Dallas, John (Paula) Taylor of Albuquerque, Ralph (Regina) Melbourne of Hinsdale, IL, and Nancy (Gil) Archuleta of Albuquerque; her great-grandchildren, David (Cheryl) Kuck of California, Amy (Brian) Guzie, Michelle Archuleta and fiance, Joey Winklepleck of Albuquerque, Chris and John Melbourne of Hinsdale, IL and Abriana Taylor of Albuquerque; her great-great-grandson, Justin Kuck of California; her dear friend, Eunice Honaker of Lewis, CO; and her many, well-loved nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and Services will be held at a time when the grandchildren can attend. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff and aides (especially Nancy) at Laurel Heights and Hospice of the Sandias for their loving care and kindness to our beloved mother and grandmother during her long illness.
