Obituary for CORDOVA

Alfred Cordova, Jr., 64, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Sunday June 4, 2006 with his loving family present. He is survived by his parents, Alfredo and Lina Cordova; his sister, Dorothy Barnhill; his children, Anthony Cordova and wife, Lisa, Corina Sandoval and husband, Richard; his lifelong partner, Marilyn Baumgardner and her son Mark; and blessed with his grandchildren, Terek Milligan, Mikala and Khristiana Sandoval, and Vinzent Cordova. He was preceded in death by his sister, Naida Cordova. Cordova was a retired Lieutenant for the Albuquerque Fire Department and was also a decorated veteran of the Korean War receiving an Air Force Good Conduct medal. Al will be remembered as a loving son, wonderful father, adoring grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Rosary for Mr. Cordova will be recited on Thursday evening, June 8, 2006, at 7:15 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 also at Queen of Heaven where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
