Effie Snyder Dunning, 92, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, passed away on May 31, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, George and Harriet Snyder; and her seven sisters and their spouses. She is survived by her two daughters, Norma (Russ) Taylor and Maxine (Ralph) Melbourne, both of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Sandra (Gary) Miller of Dallas, John (Paula) Taylor of Albuquerque, Ralph (Regina) Melbourne of Hinsdale, IL, and Nancy (Gil) Archuleta of Albuquerque; her great-grandchildren, David (Cheryl) Kuck of California, Amy (Brian) Guzie, Michelle Archuleta and fiance, Joey Winklepleck of Albuquerque, Chris and John Melbourne of Hinsdale, IL and Abriana Taylor of Albuquerque; her great-great-grandson, Justin Kuck of California; her dear friend, Eunice Honaker of Lewis, CO; and her many, well-loved nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and Services will be held at a time when the grandchildren can attend. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff and aides (especially Nancy) at Laurel Heights and Hospice of the Sandias for their loving care and kindness to our beloved mother and grandmother during her long illness.
