PAIZ -- FLORA Was taken from this world by the holy angels and into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior on September 4, 2011. She was the eldest of 15 children born to Arthur and Eliza Ashe in Agua Azul in Colfax County, New Mexico. She married Joe Lovato in 1942 who was taken from her in WWII, in 1944. She married Albino Paiz in 1946 who preceded her in death in 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Eddie; eight siblings. She is survived by six siblings; her children, Frank Lovato, Gina Yaker, Arthur Paiz, Agnes Martinez and husband Frank, Veronica Lopez and husband Robert, Tony Paiz and wife JoAnn, David Paiz and wife Jeanette, Eliza Strasser and husband Paul, Geri Paiz-Chavez and husband Joseph, Anna Torres and husband John; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was years ahead of her time in some ways, and instinctively believed that women should make their own way in the world, and in other ways she was like a past era. She was a true pioneer of the advancement of education, a teacher by profession. The gift of Flora was her great love of God, of all children, of nature, and everything beautiful. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care Harmony House and Vista Care Hospice provided to Flora. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Vista Care Hospice at 5600 Wyoming Boulevard NE, S-10, Albuquerque, NM 87109 or Harmony House at 4102 Malaga Court SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. STARK -- OLGA R. TORRES March 18, 1916 - July 28, 2011 Olga Rodriguez Torres Stark passed away on July 28, 2011 in Aurora, CO. She is survived by her three children, Robert L. Torres, Dr. Richard C. Torres (Margaret) of Albuquerque, NM, and daughter Norma Tell of Aurora, CO; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three brothers Rudolph Rodriguez (Ofelia), Henry Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, and David Rodriguez of Walnut Creek, CA. The Fluffy Tacos, Olga introduced to Albuquerque, will forever be remembered. A Memorial Service will be held at El Buen Samaritano U. M. Church, 700 Granite NW, on Saturday, September 10th, at 11:00 a.m. The family will hold a private interment. Memorial contributions may be made to El Buen Samaritano U. M. Church.

STROUP -- VERA REGINA Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 2006 died Thursday, August 25, 2011. She is survived by her sons, Larry and Pat Stroup of Albuquerque, and R. Keith Stroup and Cindy Magill of Fairfax, VA; grandsons, Kevin Stroup and Starlyn Brown and Tony Stroup and Lisa Linsday, both of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Lindsey Wong and David Wong of Hermosa Beach, CA; great-granddaughters, Madison Stroup of Portland, OR, and Brianna Stroup of Albuquerque; great-grandsons, Dawson Kai and Boden Koa Wong of Hermosa Beach, CA; brother, David Hawley of Taylorville, IL; niece, Susie Gibson and Roy of Gray, TN; niece, Chris McDaneld of Knoxville, TN; nephew, Mark Hawley and Lynn of Kell, IL; and nephew, Mike Hawley and Rhonda of Morrisonville, IL. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Stroup; her mother, Effie Hawley; and her sister, Margie Frimel. WARFIELD -- BETTY J. Age 82, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 6, 2011. She retired from the telephone company after 21 years of service. Betty received Jesus into her life as a young child, and was a life-long member of the Assemblies of God Church. She is survived by Carl "Bud", her loving husband of 64 years. She was a devoted mom to six children, Mike Warfield and wife, Connie, Linda Canales and husband, David, Brenda Harris and husband, Randy, Cindy Kwiatkowski and husband, Larry, Karla Rymsky and husband, Andrew, Mark Warfield and wife, Desiree; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Arlis and Harold Williams; sister, Alleen Long. She was preceded in death by sister, Geri Leddon. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 9, at 1:00 p.m., at Harvest Fellowship, 5331 Montano Rd. NW. WILSON -- MARY DOLORES 88 years old, born on February 21, 1923. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Cecil Wilson and grandson, David James Wilson. Mary has three children, David Wilson, wife, Maxine, Marie Wilson and Yvonne Reid, husband, Jim; five grandchildren, Michael Reid, Ken Rael, Kim Budko, David James Wilson and Angela Meisner; and seven great-grandchildren. MONTOYA -- JOHNNY Went to be with our Lord on September 3, 2011 with family by his side. He was born October 8, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, Basillio and Martha Montoya; sister, Tillie Cortese; brother, Eddie Montoya. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bertha Montoya; sons, Leroy Montoya and wife Emily, Dennis Montoya; daughters, Nancy Montoya, Priscilla Montoya, Delilah Haley and husband Neil, Victoria Perez and husband Andrew; grandchildren, Joe Montoya and wife Carol, Tricia Delgado and husband Adan, Martha Montoya, Richard Lovato, Marissa Perez, Deseree Haley. BURGE -- DONALD RAY Age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 4, 2011. He was born June 14, 1930 in Wichita Falls, TX. He was a deacon at Northwest Baptist Church. He retired after 40 years of delivering mail for the US Postal Service. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Burge; son, Stephen Burge and wife Jean; daughter, Pamela Gutierres and husband Tony; step-daughters, Jane Sanchez and husband Ed, Shirley Lopez and husband Gerard; step-son, Jim King. He was also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Burge, and his son, David Burge. He loved to travel by planes, by trains, by automobiles. He especially loved day trips in NM. He was fond of his intricate wood working with a scroll saw. He was happiest when he frequently gave away his handiwork. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched. A memorial service was held at Northwest Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 6, with Pastor Scott Snyder officiating.
