GARRITY, PATRICIA ANNE Left us at the age of 84 to rest in the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2015, with her family by her side. A resident of Albuquerque since 1974, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband John "Jack" Garrity; her parents Agnes and Lawrence O'Leary; and brother, Daniel O'Leary. She was born in Chicago, IL in 1930 to Agnes and Lawrence O'Leary. She is survived by her nine children Brian, Jeanne and husband Jose Senaro, Fr. Sean, Emmett and wife Patti, Kevin and wife Michelle "Mitch", Patrick and wife Becky, Marianne and husband Vern Wood, Michael and wife Deidre and daughter Sharon and husband David Hebert; 24 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; her brother Timothy O'Leary; sister Therese Rose and husband Jack; and 53 nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Patricia was married for 56 years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Patricia grew up in the Chicago area where she attended Catholic grade school and high school. In her early parenting days she volunteered on Sunday's to teach Catechism to children. Patricia was an artist, avid painter, and gardener and loved the outdoors. Patricia is remembered by friends as always having both an open heart and door to those in need. A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH Lomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 820 Broadway Blvd. SE, Fr. Tom P. Mull, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, 87107. CHAVEZ, EQUILDA L. age 72, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM and a lifelong member of Los Padillas, passed away, Saturday, February 28, 2015. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Fred; children, Joseph M. Chavez and wife, Geri, Fred Anthony, Rebecca C. Ortega, and Elizabeth L. Chavez; sister, Demecia Sanchez and husband, Leo; grandchildren, Richard Chavez, Jaclynn Chavez, Anastacia Madrid, Andre Madrid, Channing Chavez, David Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Riley Chavez, Tamara Madrid, Julia Chavez, Levi Chavez, Olivia Chavez, Estevan Madrid, Paloma Ortega, Carmen Ortega, Avelino Chavez, and Monica Chavez; great-grandson, Anykin Madrid; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her son, Melvin Chavez; parents, Magdaleno and Andrea P. Chavez; brother, Frank Chavez. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church, past member of the Legion of Mary, countless hours as a volunteer at the Dominican Retreat House, and a lifelong member of the Miraculous Medal Association. SALAZAR, JOE R. "CAPUILLO" Passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2014. He is survived by his son David; his daughters, Roberta, Julie, Angela, and Teryl; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved by many and he will be missed dearly. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 10:30 am, at Holy Spirit Cathedral, an American Catholic Community, 1001 Barelas Rd. SW. A committal service with full military honors will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery Monday, March 9, at 10:30 am. Cremation entrusted to Neptune Society in Albuquerque.

ZAMORA, VISITA "VICKY" Age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, February 26, 2015. She was predeceased by parents, Cecilio and Jesusita Turrietta; her son, Florencio "Flo" Zamora; and her husband of 45 years, Romolo Zamora. She is survived by children, Johnny Zamora and wife, Patricia Coleman-Zamora; Lydia Maldonado and husband, Raymond; David Zamora and wife, Renee; grandchildren, Michael Zamora, Jenna Maldonado, Andrew Maldonado, Tony Maldonado, Dominic Zamora, Amber Zamora, Giovanna Zamora, Jorjette Zamora, Florencio "Flo" Zamora Jr., Jenevah Zamora; great-grandchildren, Izaac Maldonado, Marco Zamora; sister, Lupe Sena and husband Fred. Born in Manzano, NM, she later moved to Albuquerque and worked as a sterilization technician in the surgery unit of Bataan Memorial Hospital. Romolo and Vicky married after a ten year courtship and never lost their love of dancing. She was a member of the Armijo Senior Citizen's Center where she spent time with her friends. Strong in faith, loving and kind, she will be greatly missed. All services will be held at San Antonio Catholic Church in Tajique, NM with Father Moses officiating. Viewing will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 11:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 PM with interment to follow immediately at San Antonio Catholic Cemetery. PACHECO, GILLY B. Following a long and active life, Gilly Pacheco, 86, passed away on February 24, 2015. Gilly was a proud member of the 11th Airborne and served during the Korean War. He had great respect for his fellow veterans. Gilly had an unmatched gift of making beautiful music with his Harmonica. He brought smiles to so many over the years when he would pull his harmonica out of his pocket and play music that would literally touch your heart. For that, he'll be greatly missed. Gilly was preceded in death by his son, David; and is survived by his sons, John, Nick (Debbie) and Michael Pacheco and his daughters, Rebecca Villegas (Frank) and Lydia Sanchez (Ron). He is also survived by his sisters, Lily Jaramillo and Betty Barela; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. NAJAR, SOFIA Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 2, 2015. She was a devout Catholic, God before everything else, she lived for her family, and was ready with loving arms for all that came by. She will be greatly missed. BINGAMAN, ARTHUR LEE Age 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to eternal life, Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Services will be held in Albuquerque at the Riverside Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Lee was in the Navy from 1959 to 1962 on the USS Lake Champlain. On May 5, 1961, the USS Lake Champlain picked up astronaut Alan Shepard, the second person and the first American to travel into space. Lee was a meat market manager for Furr's Supermarket until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maria Bingaman; son, Earl Ingersoll; daughters, Patty Ingersoll Desing and Terri Bingaman; grandchildren, David Ferrell, Taylor Desing, Berto Chavez, Connor Desing, and Megan Desing; brother, Gary Bingaman and wife, Hollie Bingaman; and sister, Winnie Keiser. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur I. Bingaman, mother, Catherine Bingaman, and brother, Bruce Bingaman. Lee is most remembered as a caring, loving man with a very witty personality. His favorite activities were riding horses, riding motorcycles, boating, camping and traveling with family. His sense of humor will be missed by all. MCDONALD, GLENN A. After over a one year battle with Lewy Body Dementia, our merciful Father took Glenn home to be with Him. No more sorrow no more pain Glenn's passing is Heaven's gain. Glenn is survived by wife Martie; brothers Jerry and wife Sue and Pat McDonald; sister-in-law MaryAnn Atwell and husband Fred Atwell; four children and their spouses: Glenda and Mike Akins, Vicki and Rusty Wafer, Robert Fones and David and Rachel McDonald. Glenn was blessed with nine grandchildren: Nicole, Alan, Shawn, Robert, Katie, Emily, Logan, Tabitha and Brittany. He was blessed again with 14 great-grandchildren. He worked most of his life in the food service industry, owner and manager of restaurants and sales representative for food brokerage companies. The family was proud that he was top salesman of the year at a national co. for three years. He was passionate about his family, church, fast pitch softball, golf, Dallas Cowboys and Lobo Basketball. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Memorial service will be held at Calvary Abq. on Osuna 3/5/15 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army.
