Wingert -- Dorothy Wingert, 88, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, October 1, 2001. She is survived by her children, Leslie L. Wingert and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque and Cynthia Patrick and husband, Charles of Huntsville, AR; grandchildren, Donna Leigh Patrick, Jeanie Blincow and husband, Michael, Cheryl Settle and husband, Tim, Mark Allen Wingert and wife, Nancy, Todd Wingert and wife, Jerrie; great-grandchildren, Shawn Settle, Ryan Settle, Kelsey Blincow, Cameron Blincow, Kayla Blincow, Troy Wingert and Tiffany Renea Wingert; and brother, Jerry Allard and wife, Anita of Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, F. Keener Wingert; her son, Harold Dean Wingert; and all her siblings. Mrs. Wingert was born in Kansas City, MO. She worked with her husband, who was the founder of K.W. Auto Parts in Albuquerque, with stores also in El Paso, TX. They were considered leaders and pioneers in the auto parts industry. Services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2001, at 9:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Marsh Shamburger officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum. Drobnik -- Otto B. Drobnik, SMSGT. USAF. Ret., 71, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, September 28, 2001. He was born in Illinois, retired from the US Air Force after 28 years of service and worked for 13 years for the US. Postal Service. Otto was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by is wife, Marlene Drobnik and is survived by his children, Donna Goggin and husband, Dennis, Craig Drobnik and wife, Letha, Mary Drobnik, Michelle Miller and husband, Mace; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Drobnik and wife, Marlene, Robert Drobnik and wife, Lilas, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. A Memorial Service and burial will be held in Phillips, Wisconsin at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. He is survived by his wife, Donna Lambert of the family home; mother, Ruth Lambert of Carlsbad, NM; daughters, Karlena Beeson and husband, Roy, of Carlsbad, NM, Darla Streety and husband, Rick, of Levelland, TX, Danette Tanner and husband, Pete, of Carlsbad, NM; son, Dale Lambert and wife, Jodie, of Carlsbad, NM; nine grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; sister, Terry Rea of Carlsbad, NM, brother, Paul Lambert of CO, sister Eva Pettes of Carlsbad, NM, brother, Morris W. Thomas -- Joe Thomas, father, grandfather, and friend, 79, born March 19, 1922 in Pueblo, Colorado, died Sunday, September 30, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. Mr. Thomas, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959 passed away at Presbyterian Hospital from complications with cancer. Preceded in death by his wife, Lamona Marie Thomas "Brownie" in 1983, he is survived by his daughter, Pam and husband, Randy Allen; son, Stan Thomas; grandchildren, Kim Massey-Dimsha, SeanAguilar-Thomas, Andrew and Matthew Rhyand, Mackenzie Allen; and great-grandson, Max Dimsha, all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are siblings, Fred Thomas with wife, Donna; Charles Thomas, and Virginia Allen; as well as close friends, Georgia LaBar; Marvin and Louisa Friedichsen with their daughter, Felicia. Joe Thomas was a member of the Local Teamster's Union #492 and also of the National Street Rod Association. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 5, 4:00 p.m. at Aspen Funeral Services, 1935 Juan Tabo Blvd., N.E.

Newman -- Iris Mae Newman, 78, born to Helen Martin and James Coleman in Huntington, West Virginia, formerly from Brooklyn, New York and a resident of Rio Rancho for 19 years, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2001. Iris Mae is survived by her husband, George Newman, and children, Frances Weir and husband, Don, Charlotte Klau and husband, Larry, Michael Newman and wife, Mary, Paul Newman and wife, Marie, Roseanne Hopkins, Steven Newman and wife, Linda. She is also survived by her brother, Archie Coleman and wife, Margie; brothers-in-law, Norman Mayer, Lester Newman and wife, Lillian; sisters-in-law, Annabelle Cohen and Edith Newman; cousin, Mary Frances Reckeweg and husband, Ben; uncle, Harold Martin; grandchildren, Donna Sulek and husband, Bob, John Weir, April Paulton and husband, Tracy, Michael David Newman, Steven Kofsky, Jon Frankel, Dani Hinckley and husband, Brandon; six great-grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Sulek, Kaleb, Kelsey and Joshua Paulton, Colleen Kofsky; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Newman was a past officer and leader of TOPS and KOPS and received many honors from her association with this organization. Barreras -- Mr. Willie G. Barreras, 73, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 20, 2001. Mr. Barreras is the beloved husband of 54 years to Mrs. Andrea Barreras. He is also survived by his children, Pete Barreras and wife Donna, Vivian Barreras and wife Albie, Margaret Barboa and husband David, Barbara Miller and husband Luther, Andra Ponce and husband Toby Jr. and Angel Barreras; four sisters, Beatrice Birner, Mary Jane Chavez, Emma Silva and husband Albert, Estella Craig and husband Colgate; two brothers, Bennie Barreras and wife Louisa and Felix Barreras Jr., and wife Grace; stepmother, Maria Barreras; half sisters, Rose Feldman, Paula Barreras and Gloria Armenta and husband Carlos; half brothers, Felix Barreras, Jimmy Barreras and David Barreras and wife Margaret; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Barreras was a member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union 412. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 1:00 until 4:00 and then at 7:00 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 7:00 until 7:40 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 8:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, Father Manuel VIera, celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Phillip Barreras, Keith Bowman, Steven Christopher, Chris Miller, Toby Ponce III and Carlos Ponce.
