Oates -- Funeral services for Ruth Ann Carnel-Oates, 48, of Gallup, New Mexico, will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at the 1st United Methodist Church-Gallup at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jeff Symonds officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup, New Mexico. She died on May 10, 2001 at Gallup, New Mexico. She was born on January 30, 1953 at Granada, AZ. She loved her dogs. Never had a bad word about anyone. Visitation will be Tuesday May 15, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Howes of Gallup, NM; brother, Jeff Carnel of Gallup, NM, Kent Carnel of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Carnel of Colorado Springs, CO. She is preceded in death by her father, Vance Carnel. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Esparza, David Lebeck, Peter Leyba, Jr., Beth Neill, Johnny Piano, Bobby Wallace. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeffery Carnel, Kent Carnel, Mike Carnel, and Douglas Howes. Rollie Mortuary has charge of the arrangements.

Oritz -- Ernest L. Ortiz, 52, passed away at home on Tuesday May 8, 2001. He served in the armed forces as a combat medic in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Jessie Ortiz , two sons and one daughter Christopher Ortiz, Herman Ortiz and wife Dina , and Andrea Gallegos . Seven grandchildren , Zachary, Brianna, Damian, Alexis, Isacc, Santana and Adrain. His father Arthur Ortiz , three brothers and two sisters; Albert Ortiz and wife Sadie, Arthur and wife Rose, Johnny, Lupe and husband Vincent Alice and husband Elmer. Numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in the Stover Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at St. Therese Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Cordova, James Gurule, Raymond Moya , Gilbert Gallegos Jr., Louis Ortiz and Pat Moya . Armenta -- Odelia G. Armenta, 81, passed away May 11, 2001. She lived all of her life in the Ranchos de Albuquerque area. She is survived by her husband, Nick Armenta; daughter, Yolanda Chavez; sisters, Melita G. Chavez, Viola Torres, and Cecilia Sanchez; brothers, Onofre Gomez, Johnny Gomez Jr., many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who loved and will miss her. A visitaion will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Saturday, May 12, 2001 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Graveside Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery. Douglas -- Dalton H. Douglas, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, May 8, 2001. Services are pending and will be announced. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.Angie R. Dunn, age 76, of Nappanee, IN formerly of Albuquerque, NM, died at 11:50 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2001 at Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, IN, where she had been a patient for one day. Mrs. Dunn was born February 24, 1925 in Colonias, NM to Leonardo and Mela Martinez Gonzales. She married Louis E. Dunn in February 1940. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2000. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Keys of Nappanee, IN; a son, Richard"Ricky" Dunn of Muncie, IN; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Leonard Gonzales of Santa Rosa, NM, Gene Gonzales of Espanola, NM, and Rudy Gonzales, Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pita Urban and Ida Gonzales and two brothers, Anthony and Johnny Gonzales. Mrs. Dunn moved to Nappanee in September, 2000 from Albuquerque. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. There will be a Memorial Service, Friday, May 11, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Thompson Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee. Inurement will be in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the America Cancer Society.

Love -- Albert Woodrow "Woody" Love, 83, a lifetime resident of Moriarty, NM passed away Monday May 7, 2001, with his family by his side, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born August 4, 1917, to Albert Berry and Amie Ellen (Leach) Love, in Lovington, NM. Woody married Winnie Lou Jones September 24, 1962 in Tucumcari, NM. He was a member of The First Baptist Church for 29 years, at the church he served as the Sunday School Superintendent, cooked for the Men's Prayer Breakfast, and sang in the choir. Woody worked on Road Construction for 60 years for many of the large construction companies in NM and retired at the age of 75. He them spent most of his time repairing bikes for his grandchildren, Scott, Alyssa, and Bradley, until he became too blind to do so. Woody will be remembered as a loving brother, husband, father grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, and will be missed by all that knew him. Woody is survived by his wife of 38 years, Winnie Lou Love, of Moriarty, NM; four daughters, Jodi D. Jones and husband, Shane of Moriarty, NM, Leota Greeley and husband, Hilbert of Wagner SD, Edna Watkins of Ft. Smith, AR, and Anna Levern Holly and husband, Craig of Iowa Park, TX; four step sons, John, Vernon, Billy, and Walter Whinery; two step daughters, Cheryl Ginzell and Valrea Ann Mitchell, which Woody and Winnie Raised for a while; One daughter-in-law, Annamarie Davis; one sister, Lorene Davis and husband, Jack; two nieces, Joann Del Curto and husband, Butch, and Viola Parcella and husband, Charles; two nephews, Rodger Davis, and William Ray Meeks; one grand-nephew, Gary Davis; 30 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Dean; half-brother, Elmer; sister, Alva Lee Chandler; half-sister, Cloie; son,"Buzzy" Albert W. Love Jr., and step-son, Richard A. Whinery. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday May 10, 2001 10:00 a.m. at The First Baptist Church in Moriarty, NM with Dr. Kenneth Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be Carl Cannon, Jack Davis, Butch Del Curto, Berry Crider, Johnny Ortiz, and John Whinery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Bloomer, John Albert Lesley, Ivan Lesley, Jodi D. Jones, Leota Greeley, Edna Watkins, Anna Levern Holly, Valrea Ann Mitchell and Annamarie Davis. Jaramillo -- Mrs. Sofia Jaramillo, 87, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on May 4, 2001 at home with her loved ones at her side. Mrs. Jaramillo is survived by two daughters, Marcella Orona and Stella Garza; seven sons, Mel Jaramillo and wife Lala, Pete Jaramillo, Henry Jaramillo and wife Nena, Edward Jaramillo and wife Patsy, Manuel Jaramillo and fiancee, AnnaBelle; Jerry Jaramillo and Louie Jaramillo; 47 grandchildren; sixty-two (plus) great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Jaramillo was preceded in death by her husband, Natividad Jaramillo, her brother, Raymond Lucero, her daughter, Mary Ann Rambes and son in law Larry, her sons, Johnny and Orlando Jaramillo and great granddaughter, Tracy Orona and two great grandsons, Bobby J. and Michael James Orona. Mrs. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30 until 7:00 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:00 in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 by Father Manuel Viera.
